Problem with Consumer Reports and JD Powers is they present the data in a way that makes it look more dramatic and do not give enough data to make an assessment of what it really means.
What does 80 down to 44 mean? 80% to 44% reliable or is it scaled and really means 98% reliable down to 96% reliable or is it something totally different.
Would you subscribe to CR if they reported 98% to 96%? The difference between the best and worst cars these days is so small that that should not be a factor in your buying decision.
