I bought a blacked out tailgate emblem on eBay. Very satisfied with the look.

When I took the original emblem off, this little lunar lander looking clip fell out when I was unplugging the back up camera. I have no idea where it was at. It's maybe a quarter inch long.

Can anyone help me figure out what it is and where it goes?

They go on the tip of the 2 posts on the back of the emblem. They push through the camera housing, and hold the emblem in place. Generally they only come off, with the broken tip. Do you still have the old emblem? If there's not one of those on a post, it's probably inside you camera housing.

A broken post without the clip, and good post with the clip.

Mine's old school, point is, you can change out just about everything to what you like...

Did you get those emblems yourself? Is so who makes them?

That was it. Thank You! Looked at the emblem i took off and there was a clip just like it on one post. The other post wasn't broke so I slipped the clip back on.

I'm sure the new emblem had the clips on it. It snapped in with a pretty positive "snap".

I appreciate the response. I was afraid it was something needed somewhere else.

Well after I absolutely fell in love with my paint job on the rear emblem I've noticed some paint is flaking off the camera housing and is showing some chrome. ?. I ordered that package of front, rear, and back housing. ETA... UNKNOWN! :( I even work for Ford and was right beside the manager looking at it. Sad panda.

Yes, everything came in the kit that was needed to swap our front and rear emblems. Each one was wrapped up individually. I paid $138 after taxes

Installed mine today. I’m very happy to have found these. Also changed out the silver Eco badge.

Sweet, just ordered from my local Ford Dealer $116 + tax
Very nice? Just be a patient! It took about 12 business days for them to get to my dealer.

Little tip, I did the front badge without removing the grill. Reached up behind the grill through the hole in the bumper in front. The nuts were finger tight and I pre-threaded the new badge before installing.
