I didn't see this posted yet so hopefully it's not a repeat. Surprised that the Ranger has over 50% of their 2020 models unsold still. You'd think there would be some great deals/rebates coming soon with this many still sitting unsold?

Probably stay that way for a while. Lots of uncertainty right now. Who’s taking on a new car payment, taxes and fees to find out COVID hoses you again. Most are thinking hard times ahead and holding back until some confidence can be met. Can’t blame anyone for being cautious. I would expect with part shortages factory’s are slowing down as well. By spring though I would think some good incentives will be had

Yeah I keep forgetting how bad it really is out there because everything is still booming here especially in construction. I mean I came out here to semi retire and I'm swamped with work right now. Even when Covid hit things only slowed down for a couple weeks or so in construction then boomed right back. We've had all restaurants fully open since late spring and they're even having the Home Show and Mecum Actions in March along with spring training. Just surprised to see Ford has so many in the top 10. Anyone looking for a Ranger should be able to get some good deals soon.

Gotta have money and an income before any incentives work.
Naww.... They'll just give you free auto loan forgiveness. Remember how well Cash for Clunkers worked out?

I just ordered a 2021 super cab lariat FX4. In three local dealers there were only 4 super cabs and all were XL. Buku super crews everywhere of all colors and trims. Did not even look to see if there were good prices. All I could get was $250 off MSRP using X plan and about a 3 month build for my ride.

I got mine in early January. Three of the 2020s that were at the dealer then are still there. They only have one 2021. Still no clear-out deals; basically the same offers as before.

What interests me more are the unsold Escapes still there on the lot. They were pretty heavily discounted, and many to choose from. Still there. I suspect this is partly due to the Bronco Sport, which is a better looking vehicle imo. Could be cannibalizing sales of the Escape.

Same man, we are always slow during winter but not this year. 2020 was the best year for the construction company I work at. Thankfully my boss rewards us well

This is a topic of interest to me. I have been looking at Rangers from time to time and I would be willing to buy one for the right price. Honestly, I have not tried to seriously negotiate on one yet, but from what I have seen, the Phoenix dealers are not as reasonable as I would like them to be.

I was in Chapman Ford in Scottsdale, AZ last month looking at a 2020 XLT Crew Cab FX4. They wanted to X-Plan the Ranger and then apply the $1,750 rebate towards the dealer add-ons. LOL, they valued the following at $2600, but were willing to reduce the price to $1,750. Would you pay $1750 for the following?

$1197 Desert Protection package – wax job, ceramic tint, nitrogen filled tires, door edge guard.

$699 KARR Security System

$699 Spray in bed liner

Of the items in the above add-ons list, the only two that would be of value to me are the tint and the bed liner. I have never priced these out, but I’ll guess the tint is @ $350 and the bedliner is @ $500. My son and I just walked out. Not sure the salesman appreciated that.

Then a few weeks later, Surprise Ford sends me an email that they want my trade in, which they thought was a 2017 Mustang GT. Instead, I enter the information for a 2011 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 with low miles and tell them I am interested in a Ranger. LOL, the instant trade-in offer comes back at $13,600. I will admit that I did find that offer entertaining. A 4x4 Tacoma with a clean title at that price would set a CraigsList record for fastest sale. That evening I am trying to watch a college basketball game and my phone keeps on buzzing. They want to set up an appointment to purchase the Tacoma from me and possibly discuss a Ranger. I guess they were not too happy withy my response to their reasonable trade-in offer.
