This part of the Ranger design, to me, looks like it was overlooked from the beginning and only caught halfway down the assembly line and they came up with something on the fly...
Even when "good" , its the damn loudest fan design that I have ever had or even herd before ... sounds like im leaving the house in a jet every morning...
You think those are loud, you should hear 6G when it's 95F out, but those are electric fans with shutters. Something else to malfunction.

Be careful using just zip ties... if the hose does separate, the stress will be on the cable. It may work out fine... and it may not. Ford could have saved a nickel and eliminated the hose using just a zip tie, but they didn't, and if they could have, they would have!

Ford knows how to cheap out.
