Breaking news ... I killed a chicken with my 2019 Ford Ranger

Why did the chicken cross the road?
My 2019 Ford Ranger was coming down the road.
Sorry, I cannot provide pictures on this terrible mishap because my 3 ton vehicle erased all the evidence.

This is a bit esoteric, so think a second...

A] To get to the other side!:giggle:

Hopefully no damage. I killed a bird within the first 3 weeks of getting my truck. I was on my way home from school and this dumb bird flew right into the grill. It got stuck between my hood deflector and the grill. I pulled over, popped the hood and the bird fell out. Needless to say I spend a while cleaning bird guts and blood off the front of my car and under the hood lol.

In the south, they call it critter bbq time but a chicken only has two legs and a critter has four.:)
I lived in Alabama for a while and there it was armadillos rather than chickens. We used to kid about roadkill stew.

I know folks who do not kid about roadkill, especially deer. I had a driver hit a big buck and people were arguing over who had first dibs on the dead deer.

I've processed bunches of road deer :) My brother ran one over in his Chrysler car (can't recall what kind). Zero damage because the passenger tire just ran right over it's head... Best roadkill ever :)

In our neck of the woods, it is the wild turkeys that commit suicide by the thousands. In related news, we have family names for local landmarks, like “The Ugly House,” which is bright yellow with a blue roof, and “The Beaver Wash,” where my wife had to stop to wash the remains of a suicidal beaver off of her white car.

I have hit more birds with this truck than I ever had before. I think my tally is at 7 currently.
