Kidding pretty sure ford fixed the issues post 2023.
Hey those numbers are awesome. Wish I had them. And the cool shocks.
It is difinitely an upgrade in every way from my trade in which was a really cool truck. Everything but gas milage which I doubt will ever be over 20mpg.Hey those numbers are awesome. Wish I had them. And the cool shocks.
is this your first fluid change? I didn't make 18K miles on mine, and I drive very conservative.I've had my truck since the beginning of January 2019. First truck pics posted on the forum. Getting close to Ford's recommended tranny fluid change at 150k, so just had a back flush/refill done three days ago at Lakeland Ford. Truck has 137k and it runs like a champ. She's no grocery getter either.

First tranny fluid change. I do all the work on the truck myself, but I'm not equipped for a back flush. My trans has had it's occasional quirks from Day One, but it's never changed or worsened. I've towed cars with car dollies, pulled trailers, ripped some pretty good-size bushes out of the ground in 4L with the diff locked, and hauled a load of free river stone that grossed 7,200 lbs on the scale. I don't know how long the trans will last, but it's the same as it's been since new.is this your first fluid change? I didn't make 18K miles on mine, and I drive very conservative.
OTOH, “WE” are undoubtedly the most intelligent, most well informed, objective, patient, thoughtful, creative…and probably best looking…of all Ranger ownersSome are and some aren't it's a roll of the dice! One thing to remember is this forum only represents a very small portion of Ranger owners so you're going to hear what WE encounter and not all the others.
Wanted to swap my 2019 XLT for a new Raptor…but the CFO said “No, not until we can afford that around-the-world cruise” I apparently promised her back in the day.Well no one talked me off the ledge. So it is all you guyz fault. Especially You AZ Scorpian. Hopefully my 10r80 trans mission woes are over. Just brought home a new Ranger Raptor.
That is the perfect off road vehicle, just as it is. I owned a red FJ just like that one. The soft top and doors were easily removed. It was in a class all by itself. I sold it when I left Colorado. But it would take you anywhere! I had owned a brand new 4x4 350V8 Chevrolet Pickup with dual saddle tank special ordered from the factory. Had it one year and new it would go where I wanted to go. Picked up my FJ with 80K miles on it, and had a blast!Wanted to swap my 2019 XLT for a new Raptor…but the CFO said “No, not until we can afford that around-the-world cruise” I apparently promised her back in the day.
So instead, I decided to buy every aftermarket “bolt on” piece I could find and turn my stock Ranger into the “ultimate off-roader”….The results were a tad more dramatic than I expected…![]()
