Just curious. I ordered on 9/29 but when I received order confirmation email next morning it stated that it would be a 2022. So what does the “final orders due by 10/14” mean?

I would talk to your Dealer. You may still get a chance at a 2021. They have access to VIN, build date long before it ever shows up on the tracker page.
