Ok, don't laugh I used some random trailer maker and picked a random track of music. I guess Kapwig sticks a watermark when you use their online website.

So I took a moment to go adjust my rack lights behind a local school and quickly discovered I have a big problem. Way too much glare coming down on the front windshield and hood. I either need to devise and install a visor for the lights or scrap them completely and start shopping for something different.

The lights are advertised as spots, but way too much spillage. On the other hand, the lights I have down on my nudge bar do have a distinct spot pattern. I may look into returning what I have up top and swap to the smaller pods up high as well. I dunno, gonna need a few days to turn the old cogs and think it over.

Edit: I may just say F' it and splurge on a Diode Dynamics amber light bar. I really like the round look, but meh...

unfortunately the lower end of six lights from that company is still going to be between $600 and $700 and that’s with halogen bulbs. To get into LEDs I’ll be looking at $1000+ but diode dynamics has a 42 inch amber driving light bar for about $420 and I can just be one and done and it uses their TIR design in the lenses to throw the light down stream way better.

I would love to stay with the round design and if money was no issue it could easily be done unfortunately when it comes to round headlights the market has either cheap Amazon lights or do you have to buy expensive name brand.

The one benefit of going to a bar is I can mount it directly to the front skirt of the frame without having to worry about adapters for top side clearance

I was off Christmas Eve last year, but worked Christmas day. This year I'm back in the Training Div. And have a proper holiday and I'm loving it. (Except for the no overtime!)

Anyone have experience with CaliRaised LEDs? They seem popular and American made are a higher quality controlled import. Looks like they offer a 2 year no BS warranty on defects. I really like the Diode Dynamic one, but this one is really starting to grow on me, is about $80 cheaper after GovX discount, and they use Amazon pay on their website...

Nah I was the only one out there I sat in truck to fly the drone. Benefit of being my agency’s primary drone operator I have it on hand to fly anytime I want for practice flight hours.

I don’t actually think I’m going to tint the lights if I get the ones above I’m kind of digging the white and amber mix and I would actually probably get a smaller version to match down on the front bumper.

Next step after I reconfigured the front lighting is to start work on perimeter and bed lighting and then the last thing I want to add is set of Telescopic poles for lighting that I can expand up high as more powerful aimable spotlight.

I am also considering ditching the front nudge bar and just putting it away may be reinstalled later sell it off cheap I don’t know.
