Good on you! My ex-father in law built his own welder - wound the coil himself - had to bake it (I don’t know why) and used the MIL’s kitchen oven - stunk up the whole house. It was a beast - neighbourhood lights dimmed when he used it. ;)
That’s pretty damn cool there!!

First 30 minute test drive with the new tray went nicely! I ran off and forgot the rubber pieces to put between the frame and the tray so back to the shop in a few hours. I’ll be installing the fenders and then finish packing for the camping trip this weekend. Stay tuned for some awesome photos from camp! I’ll be sure to share the final pictures of the truck too! It was too dark to shoot tonight and I am too tired. 4:30am and I’m just getting home haha.

Yeah I was able to spend some time with my gf yesterday around noon so I got a late start. So I bit the bullet and crunched out a bunch of stuff. On the road to camp for the weekend now!

Well I take that back, until I buy an indoor safe heater I won't be going out at 430 anymore in the garage during winter. Its all fun and games till you cant feel yer nose and fingers and God knows I tried it plenty last year.

I'd wear winter lined overalls, a watchcap, thick socks, but you cant work with your hands go numb and most stuff I work on is a PITA while wearing thick gloves.

Had to grab some photos at the bar. I’m getting around 21mpg. I also hate the fenders. These specifically suck. I should have upped the thickness. Between welding them and grinding the welds a couple areas warped a little.
