Time for Bilsteins Baby!

- Sorry that it went south. I had one go on my Transit Connect, replaced all four corners with Bilsteins. It made it such a blast to drive

It happened to my 22 ranger as well. All the pdr and body shop guys said its aluminum, lost cause, buy a new one :( what i was going to do (i bought a 2024 ranger) was buy a new tailgate and have it painted and just switch over all the attached stuff myself. I can do mechanic work so i kew what i was doing, do not know if this is something you could do. But i can say is not too hard if you got the time and can attend the university of youtube
Yeah, that's what I thought I might have to do.
I see a quick check on eBay there are a few between $350 & $500 but I didn't check on what you actually GET for that. I expected higher prices. I need to check again when I get uo some ambition.

So for the last two days, I washed and waxed and detailed all the plastic. I used to be able to do this in 1 day but I can and do take my time now. Being old and retired has some benefits. 🤔

I haven't done it to my Ranger today, but I did order the Rough Country differential skid.

Az had a "Like New" used one for $70 so I grabbed it.

Maybe if you were lucky you could find a complete one the right colour from a scrap yard. would be easy over here Rangers are almost every second truck, perhaps not so much in the US.

When I acquired my first Ranger about 8 months ago I went to one of the local junk yards (I'm old school!) and asked about '19 to 23 ' Rangers and the answer was NONE!!

Yes - normally they would be semi abundant by now on the pick n pull type yards and the yards that do have them the prices are no where near the pull yourself yards, it used to be (on average) the salvage yards would be 50% of the part cost new with pull it yourself being - cheaper - I always loved being on these yards

I love that folding rear cover!
Oh yah bedrug is so sick. When I put my decked in i left the bed rug, it kinda felt like a waste but maybe it helps keep things quieter back there and just the cover on the tailgate is worth leaving it in.

Or maybe you mean the soft topper? I LOVE that too i just wish i had more security when loaded up on camp trips.
