New tailgate damper. The old one started making a loud groaning noise when I lowered the tailgate although it still functioned fine. I thought I wore it out. No amount of WD-40 would quiet it.
New damper makes the same noise.

It's not the damper it's the tailgate bushings on the side of the bed, you need to use some graphite spray there.

My '19 did that, there's a lot from all the dust up in Phoenix. It sounds like an old sick cow.

It does sound like that's where it's coming from.

Now the good news is you have 2 dampers! You could always mount the other one on the right side and really see the atrophy results.

I received my Wolfbox 4 in 1 Jump Starter with Air Compressor Saturday. At first glance it’s a very well made jump starter pack and has some good weight to it at just under 4lbs. The air compressor will come in handy for quickly inflating my tires when they occasionally go down 1-2 psi. I have a VaiAir portable air compressor along with another compressor in my garage but those take some time to get everything out, fill up then put away where this one is simple and fast.
