Hey All
Just bought a White 4WD XLT crew cab. Love it so far - but do notice the 20-30mph shake. Will be getting a spray in liner in the new year and look forward to many more mods based on the great ideas in this forum.
Coming from a Nissan Frontier that I bought new and had for 12 years. I miss that truck, but love my Ranger!
Hi Mike,

First is to check tire pressures to see if the dealer lowered them to the driver's side door label. If not, adjust to the label presssure. If the shake continues, have the dealer rebalance the wheel/tire assembly. Hopefully this resolves the shake...If not things get a bit more complicated and you need to involve the dealer and if this does not work, the Ford Field Service Rep. My Ranger is smooth as a baby's behind at all speeds, but does exhibit a shake as it is an FX4 package which is tuned for off road.

Best,

Loving my new ranger. Down side sized from a tundra to get some better mileage and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Already installed a leveling kit, and new tires go on Thursday!

Hey Y'all! I just got accepted and look forward to rubbing elbows with other Ranger owners. I've been working on my 2019 for almost a month getting it ready for the road. All accessories are in place and plan on enjoying this truck for a long time.

Welcome to the three of you!

Thanks Phil
They made a big deal out of telling me to adjust the pressure back to 30psi, so I have done that.
Odd thing is I bought a demo with 2k miles on it, can't believe they didn't adjust the pressure already. And if they did why did they pump it back up to 40?

As I see you used to work for Ford, I have a question. When did Ford stop tinting the top of their windshields. I assumed it was another cost cutter on the XLTs, but was in the DLR yesterday and could find a single vehicle with tint. I cant believe what a difference that little strip makes. Maybe I lived in TX for too long and its not as uncommon as I think to not have tint at the top of the windshield.

HI Mike,

I do not know when the tint was deleted, but likely is a cost reduction. I retired at the end of 2002 so it was after the 2003 model year. Really did not notice if this is the case with other manufactures, but if tint went away on Brand X, Y, Z then I would lean toward regulatory reasons, but it seems unlikely.

Hello all just wanted to introduce myself as i have been lurking on the forums for a few weeks now leading up to me getting my new ranger. My name is Jacob and Monday i drove the new girl home. I went with a FX4 XLT with dealer installed leather seats and bed cover. So far I am loving the truck. I drove a 2003 ranger for 10 years before getting into a 4x4 tacoma and then a 4runner. When Ford brought the ranger back it was an easy decision. I am looking forward to getting to know the ranger better and the messes i'm sure i'll put her through.

I'd love to see pictures of the dealer installed leather seats on an XLT!

Thanks for posting those - Never heard of RoadWire before - although I'd never heard of Katzkinz before either - before I started reading this forum....

Looks pretty comparable to the Lariat seats.

Picked up my 2019 Hot Pepper Red 4x4 last month. Couldn't pass up the dealer discount and black Friday rebates which lowered the price by 10,294.00. Has the 302a package, sport package, technology package, locking diff, running boards, 18" wheels, spray bedliner and hitch. I've added hood deflector and cross-over toolbox. Had to take a trip north through ice and snow a few weeks ago and it handled great!

Howdy everyone. My name is Dan and we just bought our 2019 Ranger the day after Christmas. We already have tires, wheels, level lift, paint matched rear Ford badge and RTR grille on order. Can't wait to get started on these mods.

No questions (for now), just wanted to let you know that truck is what my truck wants to be when it grows up!
