No thanks!
Class action lawsuits only do 1 thing....Make lawyers rich! They'll make millions off this and if you're lucky you receive a check for $20.00. 🤬

Just fix the damn transmission like it should've been in the first place and replace the broken ones the correct way.

True enough. I hate to admit it, but my brother is a litigation lawyer. He mostly represents insurance companies trying to pass on their costs for fire loss claims. 40% cut to his firm for a win.
I told him if he just stayed out of it and just let the insurance companies eat their claims vs passing them on to another insurance company our insurance rates wouldn't be so high. ....he didn't think much of the idea.

I just want Ford to replace my transmission brand new. upgraded internals no arguments and no bs with warranty instead of some class action lawsuit.

Pretty much every manufacturer seems to have an engine failure claim hanging over them at the moment, can't anyone make anything properly any more.
I guess it's the old, make it cheaper, make it faster, and push it out the door before it's fully tested, making the customer the beta tester.

If the manufacturer had been addressing the issues and resolving them correctly, a class action lawsuit would never happen.

While there are always going to some people who will try to capitalize off of anything, most people who bought the vehicle just want it to work the way it's supposed to.

If customers have good faith that the manufacturer is going to try and make that happen, lawyers won't need to get involved.

Ignore, deny, blame the customer, and then quietly fix in a later update, and pretend it never happened. That's what a friend in the software industry told me was a common business model. I guess that a bit harder to do with a physical item like an engine or gearbox. Or is it?

Emissions standards have a lot to do with this. New engines are way more complicated than the old, reliable ones. I am not absolving the manufacturer but the days of simple engines are long gone. And the fact that they have to redesign the engines so often because the standards change so often makes it hard to get a long term, reliable platform.

The zero weight oil being recommended on the GM 6.2 and toyota 3.4 seems to be having an effect on these engine failures. The zero weight oil is used for fuel economy, not for proper lubrication of engine.

This affects the diesel engines even more.

The Cummins 6BT used to be about as reliable as they come until EPA regulations required DEF, EGR, EGR coolers, etc.

It seems most of the reliability problems with modern diesels have to do with emissions related components.

Yes you are right, there is something in this too. Diesel engines are very popular in Australia and most of the complaints seem come from EGR, DPF, and Adblue SCR systems failures. I agree the old Toyota and Nissan diesels were as reliable as sunrise in the morning, not so much now.
A shame really because some of the other simultaneous changes like common rail injection, piezo injectors, and CPU control have rendered enormous improvements in power and economy on their own, pity that so much of those gains were choked back out of them again with the other legislated addons.
