I want a basic dashcam just for front viewing I'd like it to have nice definition better than 1080. I ordered a Donger kit to pull the power from the autodim mirror. That looks pretty sweet so what cams are you guys using. Prefer to stay under $200.00

They can all be hard-wired. 12V is 12V. You just need to have all the right tools, connectors, some confidence, and a bit of bravery.

But seriously, a pair of crimping pliers, a fuse tap, and a few crimp connections, and you’re hard-wired. Or a dongle and a short USB to whatever is on your cam, and that’s it.

My 1st dash cam was the Cobra SC220c. It's not too expensive and has a lot of options. And, it can warn you when you're approaching an accident, speed trap, or traffic camera. $199. The hardwire kit is another $30. Or you can have mine with the hardwire kit for $140.

This unit will plug into the Dongar power adapter that fits the auto dim mirror?

No Audio?
It records audio but I turned it off. If I have to give it to the police or use it in court, my pre-incident "comments" may not play well. :)
