Had it happen when it was over 100 degrees outside and I was driving towards the sun. The same thing happened to my wife the other day except it was caused by ice on the camera . It will correct itself automatically.I used 4L today and after I went to 2H the pre collision detection unavailable error appeared. Does anyone have that Issue? Ford Ranger lariat tremor
Did you transmission acted wierd like changing gears hard when you left the accelerator pedal? I had to turn of the truck and turn it back on to get it act right.Had it happen when it was over 100 degrees outside and I was driving towards the sun. No effect on driving or shifting. I was traveling at 75MPh on the highwayDid you transmission acted wierd like changing gears hard when you left the accelerator pedal? I had to turn of the truck and turn it back on to get it act right.
This time of year the only issue I have is the parking sensors on the front bumpers, when snow, dirt and ice build up. My XLT does not have ACC, so the only thing used by pre-collision is the camera by the mirror. So keep the windshield clear and all is good. This time of year up here, Snow, Ice and Dirt (road salt) you cant even see my bumper right now
I will get pre collision detection back in Mar/Apr LOL
The Ranger is my first vehicle that had all of this tech. Now that I've had it I like (most) of it and it'll be hard to not have it again in another vehicle. Sure some of it is annoying like when the red warning goes off on the dash when someone's taking a right turn. Overall I like it and the way people are (walking right behind you when you're backing up) it's nice to have an extra safety net in place with all the sensors and cameras.I had all the bells&whistles on my last vehicle. I don't miss any of that tech. Its a much simpler more enjoyable driving experience without the parking sensors and blind spot sensors.
I didn't realize you could turn them off. Do they stay off or reset each time you use the truck? This time of year the only issue I have is the parking sensors on the front bumpers, when snow, dirt and ice build up. The parking sensors sensors are annoying when the come on while you are slowing to a stop and go away as you speed up. At least you can turn them off until they get cleaned off.

They (parking sensors) reset every time you start your truck.I didn't realize you could turn them off. Do they stay off or reset each time you use the truck?
Oh my, I remember those days when my F150 would look like that! I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that anymore. lolIts gonna rain in a few days
