Ok,,, he said it !

I doubt there are many places in this country with cheaper gas than what I get here in South Texas.

So where is gas $1.99 or less ?

Apparently gas prices in Colorado are averaging $1.69… Here in Commiefornia, we’re still well above $4/gallon. Cheapest in my town right now is $4.59.

People get to hung up on gas prices. Unless you're driving a lot miles a year the difference usually doesn't add up to a whole heck of a lot. Let's say you only get 15 mpg and fill it up at 15 gals that's roughly 225 miles per tank divided by 20,000 miles is about 90 gallons of gas/year. If gas prices went up by even $1.00/gal that's only $90.00 more per year. I doubt that's going to break the bank of your average driver. I was more concerned when gas was over $5.00 but again, I didn't lose sleep over it because it usually a mental thing seeing the price. :surprised: Now it will raise prices of consumer goods because trucking costs will be affected but that's a whole other debate.

This is how I justify premium over regular. It't "only" $0.50 more per gallon or $18 per tank (if I do a full 37 gallons).

20000 miles / 15 mpg is 1333 gallons.

Which reminds me, with the garage doors freezing up the last 2 weeks, I need to 303 them. Or pre unstick them before my wife comes home from work.

And I wish your math was correct, I'd buy 91 too

I was dividing the 225/20,000 instead of the 15 and texting one of my neighbors. :headbang:

Now off to see what I put in that text!
