Calice, as a fellow Canadian living in Portsmouth, that sucks! Zut alors! =(

So tête carrées would rather have gravel, or a non-permeable option instead of grass pavers?

That really blows (I say that as a Quebec frog). =D

Here's a follow up. This stuff was a PIA but a water-filled lawn roller got it done (and I was done too!).

Several grass seedings and lots of water an it came out pretty good. I'm happy with it and will us it much more for Soupie in the winter. Right now the boat's on it, but that'll go to the backyard once the ground freezes.

As it is now ...

Eh oui, c'en est-tu de la misère avec ces têtes carrées. N'en faut qu'un pour rouspéter, et c'est la galère pour tout le monde.

Got my Bilstein 5100s in the mail today. So excited to install them I don’t know if I can wait until the weekend. Just gonna install the rears myself and let the dealership take care of the front, they’re gonna have to do an alignment anyway and I figure I shouldn’t be playing around with spring compressors as a beginner.

Damn French. Have a different word for everything…….😂
That's not entirely true. Some of your favorite words are directly lifted from French:

Blonde, brunette, lingerie, etc....

And, of course, there's @AzScorpion's personal favorite: poutine!

Let us know how you like them! I'm thinking of doing the same.

So I actually couldn’t wait until the weekend… I installed on my lunch break today. Took 65 minutes from opening the toolbox to closing it, and I dropped the spare tire. I didn’t run into any issues at all.

I’m gonna wait a few hours to drive to let the locktite blue set but holy smokes my old rear shocks were absolutely blown. The one on the passenger side quite literally has zero resistance going in or out, it’s basically a slide whistle. I have a feeling this is going to DRASTICALLY improve ride quality.

The one on the driver’s side still seemed to be decently firm, I would guess slightly less so than the bilstein but not significantly so. Although I’m just going off of memory since I didn’t compare side by side. I used a ratchet strap to compress the passenger side shock as it needed to be more compressed than the drivers side. The hard part was getting the bolt in while holding it compressed, I jammed that carabiner in the picture underneath the driver side to wedge it in place when I got it to size. If I was doing it again I would’ve used the ratchet strap on the drivers side.

Damn, those snow belt winters are tough on steel.
They sure don’t call it the rust belt for nothing 😉. I’m gonna attack the underside of my truck pretty aggressively this weekend with a wire brush and a few cans of fluid film. I figure that’ll get me through this winter since most of the winter I’ll be in Charlotte where they don’t really use so much salt or anything. Then next year I’ll look into professional rust treatment, but I’ve already blown my truck budget way out of the water for this year

Here's my install of 4600s just to give you a frame of reference. I liked doing it and did so at a relaxed pace over an afternoon.

I have to say- looking at the underside of your ranger puts mine to shame, yours is spotless! Mine is a mess of rust and debris. Maybe I’ll move up the timeline on that rust treatment, I have to admit I’m a bit jealous now…
Well I only just hit 10,000 miles ... ;)

This past summer, I had NH Oil done on it and we'll see how that helps. That requires a $99 yearly re-application.

I like the idea of it BUT it's really messy. Hooking up trailer chains requires Gojo handwashing.

And it drips for a lot longer than their suggested "one day".

It's been dripping for months. Granted, that's slowing down, but the first month was quite a bit. At least my asphalt driveway won't rust ... =D
