OK, the plot thickens. Indents are there, but they are not open at the top. A 2-by-anything could not slide into them. My guess is that, with the tie down over them, the indent is to allow a big hook or rope to be fed through the tie down. At any rate, Lone does not have any plywood/dry wall sheets in his future. Maybe some trim stock, maybe some garden stuff. But no big stuff.

Your ratcheting cargo bar is in the indent intended for the 2x6...

You inference, therefore, is that I am an idiot. I'm willing to accept that. Thanks. Really.
I want inferring that at all, lol! But sometimes plain sight is the best place to hide things :D

I missed it too. I’m fixated on the 2x6 being horizontal instead of vertical. This configuration is not as useful since you cannot load lumber/supplies under 4’x8’ sheets.

When I posted they were there I was thinking of the vertical slots for the 2x6's as cargo dividers. The concave section in the bedside's create a shelf that should accommodate crosswise 2x4's to load 4x8 sheets above the wheel wells.

I was noticing that in the picture above. It looks like that shelf ledge is at an angle (not parallel to the bed floor) but if you cut the ends of the 2x4s to match that angle it would probably work well.

Added tailgate dampener after going on the hunt for a T50 bit, surprisingly, hard to find bastards, only come in kits.

Got my Lariat engine shroud put on, it definitely improves the sound from the engine.

Also got my steering wheel cover stitched on. Its got mistakes and isn't the best, but, for $10 and a first try, it'll work for a couple months until I get tired of looking at it and do it again.

I changed my spark plugs to the NGK 5610, and did RainX treatment to the windows.
