Technically (Yes) any Forscan change we do - is NOT FORD APPROVED as you are altering As-Built Data, so if an issue arises in the modules we have altered, Ford could deny the warranty claim.
Ford has a list of (approved) altered changes and most of these are provided into the IPC Menu.

You will note that you cannot go to the Ford Dealer and tell them you want - Fogs on with (High-Beams) - They won't do it or even disable ASS.
Also note FDRS will not allow alterations either - outside of the basics anyways.

Now would they deny a claim for a custom disabled ASS system, I doubt it, but they can and have the supporting documents to do so.
So (IF) Ford offered a device to disable the ASS, like available through aftermarket then this would not be an issue.
It boils down to (Ford Approved) for any accessories they sell and is on the approved programmable module alterations.

The key takeaway is this:
If you are planning on taking your vehicle in for a warranty claim and your issue is on any of the modules, you have altered - Example the most modded module - BCM for lighting, they can claim that your change caused the issue and deny warranty and this is only (IF) they actually look at the As-Built data.

Adding/Removing Features Using Programmable Parameters Due To Vehicle Modifications
Ford and Lincoln vehicle owners may request modifications to their vehicle such as enabling daytime running lamps (DRL), adding navigation, changing tire/axle sizes, and/or adding trailer brake control modules. A list of programmable parameters that are available for alteration is shown in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 418-01A > Module Configuration. Parameters available for alteration will vary by model and model year. If the desired parameter is not listed in the right column of the Module Configuration and Parameter Chart, alteration of that parameter is not supported by Ford Motor Company. A list of supported parts that can be added to the vehicle is available at accessories.ford.com. Adding/removing accessories and/or programming vehicle features is not warrantable

I don't think so unless the modification causes the failure like has been said. I made a change with Forscan, my transmission failed just under 60k miles, and the dealer covered under warranty. However, something did interfere with the repair and they had to reset to factory. They thought it was the Ford Performance tune, but might have been Forscan changes? Either way, I had to do them again after I got my truck back because auto start/stop is the worst along with the honk when you shut the door with the truck running...

My truck has 110,000 miles on it. Been tuned with auto start stop turned off since about 5k. Having warranty work done on my transmission later this month. I’ll I am paying is my $200 deductible. I think so much depends on the dealer you take it too.
