The dealer is installing it? And they can't tell you whether it will perhaps void your extended warranty?Have a 2021 ranger want to get a UPR catch can installed at the dealer when I get my first oil change. Will this void my extended warranty?
Are you a gambling sort? Roll the dice... you might get snake eyes. I wouldn't install one, for that very reason.... well at least not until after the warranty expires.Have a 2021 ranger want to get a UPR catch can installed at the dealer when I get my first oil change. Unfortunately I forgot to tell them I had the extended warranty on the new Ranger. There Service Advisor never heard of the catch can, and I told him to go ask a mechanic about it. When he called me back he said they would install it at $125.00 and hour. He said it would take a couple of hoursThe dealer is installing it? I thought it would be a preventive maintenance kind of thing. Just the crud that builds up on these intake valves on these GDI Motors sounds like a freaking nightmare. and your left with the problem. specially with a turbo. My 2005 F-150 Triton finally let go after 268,000 so I purchased the Ranger. Down to one income. Anyways thanks for letting me post on here and answeringWhy chance it.
I would use top tier premium gasoline only, change my oil to full synthetic every 5k and use an injector cleaner periodically, you should be good.I thought it would be a preventive maintenance kind of thing.
