Google the hub centric/lug centric debate on any form forum the last 20 years. Factory is hub, thats the side I am on. Good information out there and no real negative real world experience either way.
Agreed, Discount Tire put the wheels on properly. The only shemie or shake that I ever experienced is from the wash boards on the old Farm Market roads and the highway. When I'm on a section of the road that has been resurfaced or was already smooth to begin with, the truck just floats over the road. Thank you for chiming in. 👍

Thank you Dennis, it was the pictures of your truck and Sid's truck and the helpful info from you, Sid, Duke, Casey and everyone that weighed in on this helped me to have the confidence to go through with it. I noticed significant changes in the drivability and the handling. With the lighter Fuel wheels it accelerates quicker, stops faster and turns easier with the extra 1 inch width. BTW, the +20 offset is spot on. 😁🤘
What wheels did you have before the Fuel and did you actually weigh them? The Fuel wheel weighs 14.06kg which is 31#, that would be a 5.5# INCREASE over my Tremor wheel.

What wheels did you have before the Fuel and did you actually weigh them? The Fuel wheel weighs 14.06kg which is 31#, that would be a 5.5# INCREASE over my Tremor wheel.
I had the stock factory 17x8 charcoal wheels, and no I didn't weigh them. I'm old school and drive by feel. I can tell from the seat of my pants that the truck accelerates quicker, stops in a shorter distance and turns easier. It's called trusting your instincts.

A: I have no room to store them here at the house.
B: I didn't want to burden my Dad by storing them in his garage.
C: Don't need them. The Fuel Shok wheels look cooler and the drivability of the truck is so much better.

I never thought I’d ever use mine again but I was burning up a lot of highway miles last summer and my Grabbers needed a road force balance. I had the flares off, so the OEM set was back on for a while.

They are now stacked up in my garage, likely never to be used again.

Size matters…

Duke, it's funny you mentioned that size matters. I did the full lock test on my truck a couple of days ago, and lets just the one inch taller tire that I thought about going to is out of the question without getting a leveling kit. With the new wheels at full lock to the left there is about a half inch between the tire and the rear crash bar and at full lock to the right there is about a quarter of a inch between the tire and the front crash bar. Conclusion stock size Goodyear HTs will remain on the truck. Whew, that's a lot of dialogue! Lol 🙂

I some how another disabled the function on my phone and haven't had the time to retrace my steps and figure out how I screwed that up. That's the truth. I'm computer illiterate.
