You know, Livernois is hosting a track day event somewhere in MI this coming week. Maybe it's all hands on deck getting whatever finished to take there and some already boots on the ground getting the site ready?

Customer service in any industry is not what it was even just 10 years ago. Wait times weren't even a thing.

I'm on the fence myself getting a tuner from them as well, interested to see how this plays out. But I'm willing to bet they're just busy scrambling to get their event ready.

I agree. Benefit of the doubt till proven wrong. They should definitely post something up on their site if that was the case. Hey we got this going

I agree with you on this. It is very rare now days indeed. I will say I am temperamental about this and will go out of my way to spend my hard earned money where good service does exist.

It’s a shame you couldn’t pick up a used one on the marketplace for $100 and transfer for $300 plus maybe a bit for shipping, could have save a bit of money. You still have to wait a day or two for the tunes. After you order the tunes after receiving the box you should receive the tow tune as well as a performance tune, may I suggest ordering the soft shift performance tune as well.

From what I have read. I want the tow tune, soft shift performance, and regular performance. I thought I heard they had a soft tow also. Thanks for the recommendation of the soft shift. How does it compare performance wise the the standard 93 tune, beyond the obvious?

Like you said beyond the obvious the shift is more like stock, the performance tune is between the Ford performance tune and Unleashed’s tune, it’s not that spicy. The performance tune was fun though, my wife didn’t like the shift points as she drives the truck quite a bit so I opted for the soft shift. Couple with my other mods, intercooler , charge pipes high flow downpipe and maxbore throttle body it’s not too bad. The marketplace is a good source for parts here. You can save quite a bit. Along people buy parts but never had the time to install. You will enjoy the setup.

Which tunes and what tunes I buy going forward will kind of depend on how things play out with getting the initial tunes. Couple days, week, longer, e

So just an update. I tried 3 times to call today. Two times I eventually just hung up because it just kept transferring me to different places, ringing, then going back to the main menu. This was a different behavior than any of the previous tries last week. I decided to try one more time and it started ringing, would go back to hold music, and then eventually start ringing again along with a message which said there were 0 people in front of me. This was also new to this call. I decided to wait it out until someone answered. I waited 24 minutes, but someone did answer.

1. When I was finally able to speak to someone they were super nice. They answered all the questions that I had wanted to ask prior to ordering.
2. I asked for the status on my order and it had actually shipped on Friday and was out for delivery even though I received no email and their website had not updated. They were able to look at something on their end then asked me to refresh the website. I this point I was able to see my order and update statues. I also then received notification.
3. Right now I am going to take this as a glitch in the system. It seems everything indeed was done according to their guidelines. Next on to getting the tunes which they made good suggestion of having one of them be a 87 tow tune in case you got caught somewhere that premium fuel was not available.

I look forward to seeing how things go from this point forward.

Tune request submitted Monday. Nothing so far. They do say 3 business days. So today will be the end of the 3rd full day.

While we wait for the outcome of this purchase. What maintenance procedures have you completed on your 2019 thus far?

I only ask as I have a concern that most of these issues I keep reading about relate to adding more power but people doing nothing to keep things running smooth. I can't help but notice my Ranger has required more maintenance than any vehicle I've ever owned prior...

I don't remember where I read it but mine is a 2019 as well with pretty low mileage for its age and swapping out the IAT sensor just after the air filter made a WORLD of difference on standing starts, as in I chirped the tires after replacing the sensor on the first drive as my driving habit was to apply a certain level of pedal pressure. Now even in D the truck just pulls on the highway.

I also have a MAP sensor in route to replace this coming week which I expect will yield similar positive results. Both totalling for less than $70 and install in minutes.

Only bringing it all up as I'd really like to hear your story getting the most out of your recent performance tune purchase. It'll be the push I need to get my own.

Just normal oil changes on my 2019, no additional maintenance. Replaced a "good" 5 1/2 year old battery just because. Just shy of 42k on the odometer.

I've been running the Livernois tunes since I had the truck about 6 months.

So I had been shopping for a truck for about a year when I found this one while traveling. 2019 ford ranger STX with 11.5k on it when I bought it and had it shipped to my house . Pretty mint condition. I have changed the oil 3 times and sitting at 18.5k a year later. I do around 3k full synthetic but often end up changing well before from time more than miles. I have upgraded various parts. So far s&b cold air intake. Dual catch cans. Turbo smart BOV. Flowmaster FX dual exit exhaust. I replaced the battery and changed the oil to full synthetic the day it got delivered. Nothing else so far but prob going to do diff and trans at 25ish.

I’ve had the tune for over a year now, replaced battery at 50,000 and DPFE sensor at 60,000. Changed oil around every 5000 and transmission oil and filter. Also changed the transfer and rear end fluids. I’m a little over 60,000 now.

Nice to hear. Get worried sometimes when you read all the transmission and other horror stories. I am finding lots of people who have not had any significant issues with proper maintenance. Finally got my tunes in and installed. Took initial outing after install. Fixed two of the major things I hated about auto start/stop. The gear skipping for the most part. I do still notice that sometime it will skip 2nd though. Wondering if I need to reset the adaptive learning to completely get rid of that behavior. Noticed it only happens if I am easing the gas. A little more aggressive and it doesn’t do so vs it used to skip no matter what. Running the .91-93 performance currently and must say it does feel nice.

My 2 cents...long term, some of these companies that start out great run can into problems whether their fault or not, and customer service/tech support can drop of the cliff. I don't have a tune, but I'm not sure if I planned to keep the truck a long time (several years) that I would put one on it - you never know where that company will be in 5 years, if they exist at all...
