This came today….

It is just about time to replace the pads - rotors are fine and true to 5G Ranger form, the rears are wearing faster than the fronts.

It’s not a design flaw or faulty/stuck callipers. It’s just that this truck is so much fun that it’s too tempting to be Hoonin’ around and giving the traction control a workout. Well, at least, that’s my theory.
I didn't know our trucks had the screw-in rear calipers.

Fortunately, I already have this kit for my son's Mustang GT.

They do Dennis. I’ve read that it’s because of the parking brake and also so the pads wear evenly. I don’t know for sure but I’m a bit of a tool geek so I’m just happy to have this set that arrived.

While shopping for the brake calliper tool, I wanted to order this……

I don’t need it but I thought it was kinda cool. 🤦‍♂️

Yep, floor-mounted, hydraulic with a foot pump. About $200 CAD.

I think the chain is just extra shrapnel for when, you know.

********** armrest. Once you bend to fit it won’t fall off, but it does rest against the glass and my windows are tinted so I am worried about damage. May just have to the it off to roll down/up the window?

I can see that wearing a spot on your tint.

That’s what I’m afraid of. The thing seems to stay put so I don’t think it’ll rub unless I roll up/down the window. It’s comfy on the arm though!
Talked with the owner of the company, he’s positive I’ll be fine and research reviews mentions nothing about ruining tint. I’ll try and stop being paranoid now. 🤣

Sorry to bring up a 2 year old post, but do you notice any excess hood vibration with the Aeroskin II? I'm looking to get one but can't seem to get a definitive answer on pros/cons.
I installed the Aeroskin II on my truck back in January and so far so good. Installed it directly on my paint (which had been getting chipped all to hell on these Utah highways) and it has been thru many car washes and weather extremes and holding up just fine. As far as hood vibration, my experience is that it has greatly diminished it. With just my bare hood, I could always notice heavy vibration and in heavy winds often wondered if it would break loose haha but that doesn't happen to me anymore. Very pleased with it

Happy Birthday Doc!

It would be even happier still if your sister sent me lobsters and clams 😁

Well, not happier for you I guess.

But I would for sure be happier about it! 😎

I do like those in black or chrome, better than the classic hex type.
You have nice nuts.
