I love the power.... but the Linkswell is probably my favorite modification. HUGE audio upgrade over stock. EVERYTHING you could ever want comes in the box. And I did it myself in my driveway. And I am not a mechanic.

I hated Sync3 because it would always disconnect from my phone... even when it was plugged in via USB. It was unstable and ugly and tiny. And asshole Ford decided to put big screens in all the new Rangers which made mine feel "dated". Never had another 'connection' issue since the upgrade. I'm an Android guy but the Apple stuff is the same. Much more reliable.

There are cheaper options on Amazon & Ebay but ALL those people seem miserable with their purchase. And when they need customer service,,, it's on China time. You'd have to call at 4am to reach someone that can't speak a word of English. Linkswell is US based. Check their YouTube channel or Facebook page. They are super helpful if you have question. They always responded when I would PM them on Facebook.

Added bonus,,, it's a huge Android Tablet that can run damn near any app you can get on your phone. I have,,, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, Netflix, Prime Video, Plex, Spotify, SiriusXM, etc.... I watch live college football games in my truck when I have to work on Saturdays in the fall. My Linkswell also has: it's own SIM card,,, cell number,,, Google account,,, and WiFi hotspot. The Linkswell is basically a huge cell phone integrated into the vehicle. And,,, I can make the UI anything I want it to be.

I drove my 2005 Ranger 4.0L from Boston,MA to Orlando ,FL (about 3,000 miles. down and back.) Suitcases in the back seats. It carried a bed full of snow all the way to the Carolinas before it finally melted. .
I have not taken any trips in my new 2024 Ranger .......yet but I can guess that mpg's will be so much better next time since I have a 2.3L now.
Your going to love those MPGs, I got 25 mpg going from CT>Pa and 27 MPG on the way home. (elevation)

My wife and I did a northwest trip with our 22 ft Airstream in 2023 that was 10,000 miles hitting Badlands NP, Yellowstone NP, Olympic NP, Jasper NP, Banff NP and Glacier NP.

This year we did a 9,000 mile trip to the southwest hitting Aransas NWR (TX), White Sands NP, Painted Desert/Petrified NF, Grand Canyon NP, Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Monument Valley Navajo TP, Mesa Verde NP, Capital Reef NP, Grand Staircase-Escalante NM, Canyonlands NP, Arches NP, and Great Sand Dunes NP.

The truck did fairly well as long as long as I controlled the rpm to 3,500 when climbing up at 9,000+ feet.
Some pics from our trips are attached:
- Badlands NP Rainbow
- Yellowstone Wolf
- Whooping Crane with Snake at Aransas NWR
- Milky Way at Arches NP
- Ranger and Airstream driving thru Valley of Fires Recreation Area, Roswell, NM

Great trips, great truck!

Mark
Awesome! I would have made the Banff, Jasper, Yoho last year but had storm damage at the house I had to deal with. And Jasper was on fire.
I am heading back to Montana and then right up to Banff and Co.

Any tips are welcome!

Regarding tips:

Jasper:
I can't remember all the individual place we went, but we did the "Valley of the Five Lakes" hike, and it was beautiful; a pretty easy not too long hike.

Between Jasper & Banff:
Somebody recommended we stop at Peyto Lake on the way from Jasper to Banff, and it was great. It's about 60 miles north of Banff. There's a relatively short (I'm thinking maybe half an hour), uphill hike, then you have view from above of Peyto Lake, which was beautiful.
Of course, the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Banff is beautiful.

Banff:
We thought Lake Louise was disappointing; beautiful, but very crowded. We went, and I'm glad we did, but we stayed less than an hour. Of course, as they say, your milage may vary.
Somebody recommended we go to Moraine Lake, which we did. You have to either take a bus (relatively inexpensive), or make a reservation for a shuttle (Fairview Limousine shuttle from Lake Louise Inn, free parking at the inn), which was a very good idea.

We're so glad we went to Lake Moraine! We did the obligatory walk up the Rock Pile, but also did the Consolation Lakes Trail hike (~3.5 miles out and back); a relatively easy hike. Unfortunately, we didn't leave enough time for the full hike, so we had to rush to catch our shuttle, and weren't able to go all the way to the far lake.

Hope this helps, Mark

Much appreciated Mark TY.

I had only been to a small portion of Yoho a long time ago. And honestly the only hike my son and I went on was to see Takakkaw falls and it did not disappoint, but then a 3 day pack horse trip out of Beaverfoot lodge that was incredible!
