The perches are too high,,, too far forward,,, and too far out.

I want my lights tucked in tighter to the A-pillars. I don't want them hanging so far off the side of the truck. I don't want them hovering above 1² inch of hood sheet metal. And I don't want them sticking up so high in the air.

My current brackets were perfectly positioned. But the metal just wasn't thick enough and the lights vibrate too much.

I wish... I'd have this shit finished !
My debt has reached my eyeballs.

What sucks is,,, I would probably have built my dream truck by now if I hadn't wasted 6 years with some stupid bitch stripper.

Dream Truck:
Mine,,, "as-is" plus:
• All lights installed,
• Train horns installed,
• New speakers, amps, & subs installed,
• Full long travel suspension all around,
• 4 Link rear suspension on a heavy duty rear axel installed with a watts link
• Rock sliders installed
• Motor swap for Supercharged V8 with a 6 speed Manual Transmission complete,
• 17" Roush Iridium wheels (and some badass tires) installed...

Then I can rest. Sell it the next day. And start all over on a new one.

JK ?
I'll never be able to sell it...

Understand your reasoning. Any problem with feedback/reflection running them close to a glossy painted surface?

Not really. They do reflect off the hood a little but it's not noticeable unless you look for it. They do make my black hood stripes look like light sabers. I have them aimed high... to reach out as far as possible. I have other LEDs to light up the ground at close range.

While I don't believe anyone actually has privacy, you may want to take down these pictures. They have your full name, address, DL number, and VIN. That's a lot of info to just post up here.

First was a oil change. Was 300 miles over due. Then I unloaded the parts that didn't sell at the IEC (international Edsel Club) convention. Now to unload the cab. I got models in the cab. Back to work in the morning,

Hey all,

First post so far and more to follow. I just got the AVS Aeroskin II in today and installed it. Hoping for a noticeable reduction in bugs.

Sorry to bring up a 2 year old post, but do you notice any excess hood vibration with the Aeroskin II? I'm looking to get one but can't seem to get a definitive answer on pros/cons.

I had one years ago and these took care of it. It's best to stick them to the paint and not on the Deflector.
