My second battery was failing and I was keeping it alive by solar charging every couple of days, but I'm headed to Montana in a week so I figured I should replace it before it becomes an issue. Turns out the old battery had a bad cell AND it was undersized! I'd replaced the first one with a 720CCA H6. I don't know why I would have done that. Brain fart I guess.

Anyway, I returned it to AutoZone under warranty and picked up a Lariat-sized, 94R 850 CCA H7. It was mentioned in an earlier battery thread that a non-Lariat H6 battery blanket doesn't fit an H7. That's true, but I opened mine where it slots together and just zip-tied the edges.

Originally, I had this mounted on the floor of the bed, but I didn't like how exposed it was. I mounted it to the side of the SmartCap bin. I works really well. I used some steel band to act as a washer on the inside of the bin to distribute the weight and I put some rubber isolators between the compressor mount and the bin to help with vibration. It seems to work well so far.

OBD2 connection?
obd2 for the information and a trigger wire for power. The trigger wire is only to auto boot when the truck turns on. You can just push a button on the unit to turn it on.

Replaced the OEM intercooler and pipes with the mishimoto kit bought from a member here.

HOLY SHIT this thing is FLYING now. Pulling hard up top like I absolutely do not remember. Feels like I have instant power above 70mph whereas it felt a little weak before. Found myself at 90+ mph on my run (Mexico ?), can almost forget there's 33s on it.

I was skeptical of this mod, but am a believer now. The mishi cooler is huge and heavy, pipes a bit larger. Got some more woosh noises, maybe from the pipes. I'd 100% recommend the pipes for the price, then intercooler if you're feeling fancy.

Maybe it's time to try out the Sport tune for Livernois, only ever used the tow tune.

Also highly recommend deleting the sway bar. Much more composed off-road and still enough agility on the streets to make an emergency swerve from traffic pulling out on you at 50mph (ask me how I know).

Nice that the 6g rangers are out and people are trading in 5g's, more mods on marketplace to be found ?
