I thought my body shop had done a good job when they had to repaint the bumper. (girl backed into me) But then I realized they put the Mountain to Metal grill insert on backwards. I took it back and they promptly fixed it. Fast forward a couple of years and I discovered there was only one of those plastic push pins barely holding it on. Luckily I saved some from when I first installed it.
Idk why it’s so hard for people to do their jobs these days. Seems like quality control with everything is going down. I understand wiring can be meticulous (I’m an electrician) but you have to do your job… If I cut corners like that at work, buildings would burn down and people would get hurt. I’ve always told guys I’m training that if you’re going to do the job half-assed, don’t do it at all. You end up going back and redoing it anyway or cause headaches for the next guy. Do it right the first time.

OP, glad they fixed your Ranger. Sad about the follow up work that you had to finish. That's why I still change my own oil. :frown:

I try to do everything myself if I can. Transmission work is a little over my head, but everything else I’ll do it myself.
