Dear Jeff: I had already ordered the Sport Appearance Package on my Lariat 4X4 in saber, but when the Black Appearance Package (B.A.P.) came out, I just loved it, especially the 18-inch black wheels! Even though I had already signed, the sales agent I worked with said that changing over would be no problem, except that saber, our original color choice, is not available with the B.A.P.! Maybe some executive in the central office thought it would look too much like a Halloween? Anyway, we settled on Lightening Blue, which is available and does look great with B.A.P., so all's well that ends well. We take delivery in August, and so I have not really seen a B.A.P. "in person," so to speak.... Hope things work out for you. Regards, Marc

I think the reason for it is that the Saber is currently only available with the Sport Appearance Package. As such, there are no Saber colored bumpers at MAP. The BAP uses color keyed bumpers, which aren't available with Saber, ergo, BAP is not available with Saber .

Side Note: I did decide that I like the Saber w/ Sport more than Lightning w/ BAP, so I went with what I wanted originally.

I just heard back from the dealer...as of this morning, the order has not yet been “pulled by the factory”. So no VIN or ability to track, until it’s “pulled” for production and issued the VIN.

Received my VIN last week - 71703 with a projected build the week of 7/8/19.

Saber is available in other trims as well. The STX I ordered is Saber

I think I'd start checking dealer instock to see if what you want is available call different dealers and see.

Thanks guys...believe me I have.
There’s nothing in the whole State, or 500 miles, that I would want to compromise on. I’m flexible with the colors Saber and Hot Pepper Red, but not with the interior color. My last several cars had the black interior, so this time I HAVE to go lighter ...there are NO Saber or HPR Lariats with the Medium Stone interior.

If I had not spent an additional $2k with a garage loaded with accessories for the Ranger, I think I would actually order another Mustang GT Premium, that I know would be built and delivered within 5 weeks!

Keep posting your pics and info though..that’ll keep me patient!
