Another aluminum trans pan option

Guess I'll wait an see if anyone grinds it down or if they change it. I'm in no hurry to drop the pan with just 20K on it. I'll start thinking about it at 30. I plan on pumping out 5 or 6 quarts an adding some fresh fluid soon.

Well it would be easier to do fluid drain and fills. Would require a few quarts every time I gas up.

Bad idea. Trying to make something work by trying to jury-rig a solution is asking for trouble.....especially when trying to prevent such an important fluid from leaking.
If the pan dosen't work, then, it dosen't work !!! You shouldn't have to grind, double gasket, or modify something like this.
This is just a large company buying sub-standard items produced in a country that couldn't care about quality control.
Move on and get something that is proven to work !!!

Funny with all the engineering tools we have that a company capable of making a trans pan could mess things up in such a great way. Like literally, "missed it by that much" lol

Exactly, all you'd have to do is move it about 1.5" in any of 3 directions

I posted up about it several months back. Don’t recommend. Thought i sent the second one back or threw it away. Ran across it the other day in the shed. I couldnt get either to stop leaking.

Say they cost $40 dollars each from China / 100K units. China supplied the product designed to your specs so you have to eat that $4 Million investment cost.

Those 100K pans are sitting in a warehouse, and can't be moved. Each month you eat the storage fees.

Your retail sellers want their investment back, and want you to eat the shipping costs to return the product to you. They have a bunch of unhappy customers who are out the labor and expense, and lost time of the use of their truck.

Meanwhile your investment is not bringing in the projected revenue that your business plan you presented to the bank to secure the loan suggested.

Bank is unhappy,

Supply chain is unhappy,

and resellers are unhappy.

And they are all looking directly at you!
