Well gents (and ladies) they have finally arrived!!

I'll try to put them on this weekend, but it's supposed to rain. :( If not, it'll be next week.

Enjoy the pics for now (uploaded from my phone, so excuse the formatting) Also, if you want specific pics, let me know.

Kazoo and whiskey bottle for scale with front coilovers, they are huge. :)

Wow, congratulations, man, you must be the first on the forum (or even in the U.S.) to take delivery of these. (Mine are still on order--it's been two weeks to the day....) Once you get them installed, please give us the full review of the changes it brings to the ride quality, stance, etc., with pictures, natch!

It’s almost worth getting the Ford ones just for those “Tuned by Ford Performance” decals! Not that they’d really ever be seen again though.

Yeah, kind of makes you wonder if the shocks themselves really were "tuned by Ford Performance" or just had their decals stuck on "by Ford Performance"!

I'm interested to know whether it can actually achieve the 3" lift that they claim it can. I am really on the fence between Icon and this.
I'm fairly certain it can. You can see how high up the shock body is threaded. That tells me you can spin the spring collars up plenty high enough for a 3" lift.

I doubt you can get three inches of lift aligned without new upper control arms. Just go with Icon, their 2.5 coilovers are higher quality than these things.

How do you know that it's better?

There is no difference other than the color.
Well one thing I did notice is that the front struts on the Icon kit use an inverted shock design which in theory is better for the oil seals. So that's technically better. Lol.

A lot of threads I have read in other forums is that they tend to leak.

Yeah, I could see that as becoming an issue. Better materials would help prevent that but only so much.

Are the front coilovers set to 2 or 3 inchs from the factory?

Well Gentledudes,
The weather held off and I was able to get everything installed with the help of a friend. I still have to get an alignment done tomorrow, but I'll throw up some of the requested measure pics and stance pics that I remembered to grab while working. Overall, lifted the front the promised 2 inches, and yes, the shocks are adjustable! Woohoo!

The ride quality from just riding home from the friend's house (speed bumps and potholes and uneven pavement): These shocks are the bomb. No FX4 floating feeling whatsoever. Absorbs bumps like no other! Fixed the bouncing rebound on the front and softened up the rear suspension just the tiniest bit so you don't feel every bump in your spine. Haha!

First pictures are the axle to fender height stock then lifted. The next are the ground to fender height stock then lifted.
Lastly we have the truck in the shop and then sitting in the publix parking lot while I was grabbing some ice cream.

Looks great! :like: Glad to hear it fixed a lot of the issues people are having with the stock suspension. Did you adjust the spring seat collars at all before installing the fronts? I'm fairly sold on this setup. It looks like the way to go.

I didn't touch a thing. Figured someone smarter than I worked it out at fox so I'd leave well enough alone for now.

Nice. The 2" lift looks great. I agree that they probably set the height with the ideal spring preload.
