Yes, Per the Dealers (PLURAL) this is Normal. BS - Do it yourself.
Use Forscan or any scan tools, Perform the ABS Module Bleed, Follow that with a normal brake bleed at the calipers. Starting with RR-LR-RF-LF.
I can almost guarantee you will get air out of the system, mostly the RR
I did mine within first month of ownership, pedal has been firm since, and just had my first year with the truck.
You will notice a night and day difference.

A brake pedal should not drop down with light foot pressure at a stoplight, and not drop lower than the gas pedal as so you are hitting both. This issue gets my blood boiling, and dealers say they are all like that - Normal.
Just because they are All Like That, doesn't make it right. My 2020 XLT has same issue. Just came here to research it. And I found my answer. As soon as the rain stops, I'm gonna go out and do a manual bleed.

Don't know much about how the power assist works, but is it possible it is kicking in way too soon? Maybe a sensor or something is a bit off?
Found this on FB and Youtube.

I went through this as my '20 was always soft and sure enough the pedal is much improved.

In Forscan, choose this icon:

Then select ABS Service Bleed

When prompted for what you did, just say Brake fluid.

Follow the prompts and you will hear your ABS go nuts. It will do this twice prompting you before each service run through the system does.

If you have any DTC's after, do this

That's it. Disconnet your Forscan from your truck and go for a test drive. Mush brakes gone.

You do not have to have an eval license to complete this service. However I would recommend always getting an eval license before doing any Forscan work just to cya.

Hope this helps. This was one of my big pet peeves for this truck. I feel so much better now.
At the beginning he said it asked to save vehicle settings. But he already had so didn't this time. Is it recommended that the first use of ForScan, I Do save vehicle information? Thnx✌

It is recommended to save the file originally. In case you ever need to return it to stock you’ll have that file on hand.
