Did bass Ranger install the kit on his ranger? I guess I'll have to call Belltech to find out from one of their engineers who is right. The instruction are a little unclear.
.........
Yes, I have the kit on my truck. I installed it myself. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the axle flip with the OE shackles is a 6" drop of the rear. There's nothing provided on Belltech's kit that can provide you with a 2" rear drop. Belltech's customer service not knowing what they are talking about is right on par for them.

It was owners that had to reveal to them that the control arms they are STILL marketing to '19-'23 model years only fit the 19's and some 20's.

Sadly most customer service is the same and can only regurgitate the same info you can find yourself with some research.

Thanks for your input. I saw those comments and just started to turn green (Hulk) after read the comments from weaner-man and nose picker guy!

I have looked at way to may post addressing what I'm looking for and figured I might as well contact Belltech directly to get the answer from the manufacturer (engineers) of the flip kit, and whomever it was tells me conflicting info to all the posts I see on the forum. I was just checking to see if anyone had done what I thought was good info. Evidently, whomever was responding to my emails at Belltech knows less about the kit they sell than everyone else. I'm going to call and see if I can actual speak to someone later today. I will post what this call reveals after. Probably going to hike up the front after all.

I'm a car guy...not a 4wd truck guy...yet. I'm in New Orleans, and NOLA Motorsports, where I track my Z06, has an off-road track. Think I'm going to go over there this weekend and get my Tremor dirty:oops:
Just checked out a YouTube of the offroad course at NOLA Motorsports. From the looks of the layout I would say your Tremor is set up perfect for that place. I would go let it rip and have fun before thinking of changing anything out.

Well, looks like a couple of you are correct. I called and spoke to a tech at Belltech. He tells me that if all I do is use the hardware to flip the spring on the axle, the drop is 6"s. With the shackles, the spring is then lowered another 2's, yielding a 4" drop.

Looks like my only option (other than de-arching the springs...which I don't want to do) is to raise the front. Like someone in this stream said, considering I have a Tremor, I'll probably be happier anyway.

Thanks to all that had positive responses to my question. Now, can't wait to go get this thing dirty this weekend!

Have fun this weekend! I wish I had an offroad track or park nearby but it's about an hour and a half drive for me. I'm waiting for the weather to improve and for trails to start opening back up.

Just go with a one inch or two inch level. You'll be able to squeeze in a 285-70-17 tire in there as well with some aftermarket crash bars or removing them entirely.

Since your goal is to basically level the truck, I think the front spacer/level will be the better route.

1" technically still keeps the back about 0.5" higher but it looks clean (when measuring the wheel well opening).

The Tremor has a nice multi leaf spring unlike the normal Rangers. I wouldn't want to mess with that setup to get the truck level.

The 2" levels will create the optical illusion that it is level because the way the hood slopes down but if you measure at the wheel well opening, it is higher in the front.

Some have done the 2" front level with 1" rear block too.

When I had it aligned after the 1" level, it technically did need an alignment but it was JUST BARELY out of spec.

I just have a 1" level, 1" wheel spacers and 285/70/17. Only mod to make the tires clear was to remove the crash bars.

If i had to make a complaint about my ranger it would be the rake. I have a xlt 2wd. I don't tow or go off road. I just needed a truck for work to load equipment when needed and our mtbs/gear for when we go to the trails. Having the back end lowered would make life a lot easier. Being vertically challenged doesn't help.?

Sorry I'm a little late to the thread and sorry for all the crap you got. And from a quick glance, it appears no one actually answered your first question. Most likely you WOULD need to replace the shocks as the stock units may not work as well being compressed 4". That said, I did the full Belltech kit (I lowered mine 5" in the rear) and hated their shocks. Ended up getting some QA1 shocks for the rear and it is better.

FWIW, I'm a car guy too and needed my truck to pull a car trailer. I bought a used XLT (with a leveling kit on the front), hated the ride height, and immediately lowered it. I still do "truck stuff", just not "off-road truck stuff". To each their own and I can appreciate what you want to do. Enjoy your truck!

Welp it was an honest comment. I would trade with you. Also a maverick tremor would be more level and still be a tremor.

the springs do sag with use. Lots of grocery runs in your future to get them sagging I guess.

blocked!
