I've purchased a new steel bumper and 13,000lb hitch for my 2020 XLT. Haven't installed yet. Was told I needed to get the relocation bracket for the acc radar. So I did. But at the end of instructions that came with the relocation bracket, it says to ," follow Fords leveling and location procedures".
I have looked and can't find any specifics on that particular thing.
Just curious if someone here might have any ideas as to what they are referring to.
BTW. I'm new, appreciate you all allowing me to be a part of the group. Have read some Very helpful things so far. This is my first post.
Thnx in advance for any help. ✌

I do not know how temperamental the CCM is as far as relocation.
The Vertical Adjustment is done manually with a - Level
The Horizontal Calibration is done with a scan tool, and it will walk you through the step procedure.

If I recall correctly the CCM does not require a drive like the IPMA does but I am not certain, even if it does the scan tool will give you step guidance for it, so possibly a 20-minute drive at speeds above 30 MPH may be required - if it is required just leave the tool hooked up and it will have a countdown timer during the process.
I believe Forscan also has this service function as well.

The procedure is at the end of the document. I found it using a forum search for "radar alignment". It took about 3 minutes.

Welcome to the forum.
Thank you Sir. I just ordered the scan tool to go with For scan. So that should take care of that part of it. I will learn how to search the forum for info before asking questions that may have already been answered. ✌

Thank you Sir. I will post update when I complete the task. Still have to remove stock bumper and replace with a steel bumper and the winch .
I am a disabled US NAVY SEABEE veteran and it takes me quite a while to accomplish tasks that once could get done in a few hours . ? But I will get it done.
Heck im still working on the mess left by Hurricane Helene. Which took down every tree on my 3 acres. THNX again for the help.

Anyone know what this is for? It's mounted behind front bumper. I was looking for collision warning sensor and found this. Apparently my front collision sensor is behind the mirror. Because I have taken the entire front end apart and don't see the ACC/ front collision sensor.

The ACC sensor is a large box just above the skid plate.

It should be easy to spot.

OK - Do you have Adaptive Cruise Control?

If yes, then you will have a CCM (Cruise Control Module) mounted on the front.
as (highlighted) in above post.

If you do NOT have Adaptive Cruise Control, then the system only uses the IPMA mounted by the mirror.

If you have Adaptive Cruise Control, then the system uses BOTH the CCM & IPMA for collision avoidance.

The sensor in your hand is the (Ambient Air Temp Sensor)

Thank you. I thought I had adaptive cruise, but apparently not. I know I have the collision avoidance. That damn thing nearly gave me a Stroke right after I got the truck. Thnx for info on ambient air temp sensor. I thought that's what it was. Looking up the numbers on it. I greatly appreciate your detailed explanation to a rookie Ranger owner. ✌
