My Ranger, Truck, is approaching 4 years old with the OE battery. No problems and it's still pumping between 13.5 and 14.5 while running, and have had no starting/running problems.
But, erring on the side of caution, wondering if any of you have bought the Weize AGM battery from Amazon....the larger 94R series ?
It's on sale now for $144 with my free shipping. Thinking of just getting one to hold in reserve on a trickle charger for the inevitable OE battery going poof.
Any input from owners ???

Yeah Idaho....read a number of them. Just looking for some current input now that some have had them for awhile.
Maybe I'm lucky and have a "good one" as it's still strong....hell, Truck still has the OE windshield wipers, and even with all the towing, brake pads still look like new after 27,000 miles.
More concerned with battery as we all know, good one day, crap the next !!!

I purchased one a few months ago, think I got directly from the weize website. Got the larger Lariet battery for my XLT. It's a tight fit, but I got it in with only having to move the negative cable slightly to attach it. Purchased a new cover to fit around the battery. Fixed all my battery issues on my 2020 Ranger.

$144 eek, isn't somebody supposed to fix inflation ? - paid $126 a few yrs back for the lariat size . So far so good and at least when I bought mine no core charge and you get to keep the old battery, I wanted to redeploy mine into wife's Hyundai but that Lariat battery is a humongous sucker and no room for it, ditto with her new Subie Outback .
Oh and to ensure the continued health of my Weize - bms has long been neutralized.

Thanks. Looking at the larger 94R as Truck is a Lariat.
Their $144, but we have a bunch of reward points/dollars and it will be around $100 bucks.
Just trying to justify getting one now and hold it on a trickle charger till it's needed.....likr to have it on hand so I won't have to scramble for on when it's needed. Lots of room in garage/shelf to store it. From what I've read here, once the OE battery decides its time, it goes quick.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it - Weize is big over in the orient and reportedly high quality. I just saw on Amazon they have a lifepo4 12v 100ah with low temp protection for $169 , I may buy it to add to the 2 lifepo4 I have on the RV.

Funny....I have that one in the wish list for our rv as a future replacement Regular wet cell's only last around 2 years or so and ours are due for a replacement soon. Always take it off the rv during winter and store it in garage on a trickle charger, but still, 2 years is about the limit.

I do a lot of highway, my batteries always last forever. The thought of a spare waiting around blows my mind. 88k and 4 years old. Still on stocker.

Last truck went from 80k to 268k on one battery lol. My polish is showing ??
Kind of agree....the Weize always seem to be around the same price, and we have a distribution center 3 miles from the house so battery would only be one or two days away......seems like I like to be "over prepared".
Still.....couldn't hurt !!!

The RV I bought was my 1st and it can with an interstate wet cell, I think rated at 64 ah, couldn't even keep the refrig running overnight. I've added 2 solar panels and 2 Lipo , will add more solar and batts as I despise the sound of generators running in campsites.

I bought one over a year ago, held on to it for the point when I needed to replace it. I waited almost a year and decided that a 5+ year old battery, even though it wasn't showing any signs of going out, was running on borrowed time, so I replaced it with the Weize. I've had zero issues with it. I don't have the exact date (I realize I didn't record it in FordPass when I changed the battery) but it is well over 6 months now and no issues.
