Did a search here and online, found nothing. Just wondering if anyone has a way to keep rear camera lens clean. I always wipe with finger as I walk to truck, but doesn't help if I'm driving and need to back up. Surely someone has created something....

This is one of the more irritating things I have had to adjust to lol. My 16 GTI, the rear camera is integrated into the rear hatch emblem. Put it in reverse, emblem flips up with the camera.

One of the benefits to it being like this, is the camera is mostly shielded from rain or dust and wasn't really ever an issue for me, just usually gave it a wipe after washing. No biggie though, adjust and adapt. :like:

I prefer to use a microfiber towel and lightly wipe vs just a finger as it is plastic and can be scratched, it is annoying, but I have yet to find any rear cam that does not get covered in road grime.
Some say Rain-X helps repel, I have not tried it yet - but I think it may help

It's also the hatch release, which could translate to the tailgate release on a pickup.

I put some type of graphene, wax or whatever on it and use the finger to wipe it clean. Habit now. Waxing does help. We are talking rear right? Rear camera, rear camera.
