Welcome, nice truck. Looks very similar to mine, FX4 with Sport Appearance page. Except mine is Lighting Blue, the best Ranger color.

+1 on the Bilstein rear shocks. It will tow your 4K+ camper no problem, so yes get the brake controller while you can still find it. Ford in its infinite wisdom has decided to discontinue it as an accessory.

One other thing you might want to consider replacing is the headlights. The factory halogens are pretty bad by today's standards. Don’t let them talk you into just putting LED bulbs in. Get some real projector assemblies. A little expensive expensive, but buy once crying once, you'll not be sorry.

Oh yeah, don't forget the transmission dip stick, probably the most important mod.

Don't delay on getting a TBC, the Ford sanctioned one are the only ones approved to work with
Pre-collision Auto Emergency Braking. And they are getting hard to find.

Nice truck and welcome. But your profile says crew cab. I think technically it's a super crew cab.

You're likely more accurate on that than I am. Super crew or crew is still a four door cab. Old school!

Looks good. FX4 makes for decent off-road fun I hear, mine is just a 4x4 with locking rear diff, no drive modes, crawl control or skid plates. I really wanted RWD, but not easy to find with tow and other options I wanted.

I don't think there is any package affecting the bumper color though, just the standard no package bumpers. Chrome package would add the chrome bumpers, and the Black Appearance package would add the body-colored bumpers.

Yeah, there are so many options it's hard to keep it all straight. I just know I like the dark bumpers and trim.

I would like to suggest a Tailgate Damper...

I do like the blue! Several colors that just pop on these trucks. I will keep Bilsteins in mind when the time comes. Particular model number for those or is there only one option? I have actually been impressed with the stock lights so far. I would have to see the difference in person to change at this point but who knows?? On the brake controller it's hard to believe the after market can't make one that syncs with those systems. Ford can't be the only one with this type of system.

Thanks! It's very nice. Needs a few touch ups in the paint but I will get some paint in the spring and worry about it then. Other than it will need tires before next winter it's drive it and smile!

Thanks! I have been on Oil Burners and Super Duty forums with my diesels at the time and the same thing, tons of knowledge. Always fun to nerd out about our trucks! I do that on guns and mountain bikes, too!

I bought my 2019 Ranger XLT FX4 in August of '24. Been a full size F250 guy since 1985. My last truck was an '04 F250 Lariat crew cab, long box, 4x4, 6.0 diesel. What a huge difference. We don't tow but a couple times a year and our travel trailer GVWR is 4100 lbs. Hated to let it go. Hard to justify a 7000 lb. diesel truck when the Ranger will handle our needs. No big mods planned other than the tailgate damper before anyone suggests that! Brake controller is likely the first thing. Might add a CB since I'm old school and always had one in my trucks. Already bought a tailgate pad for the mountain bikes. Loving the truck more all the time. Looking forward to learning more about my truck to understand it better.
