BDS Upper Arm Help Please…..

I have these arms and I’m trying to replace the ball joint this morning or the next few hours. BDS ball joint replacement will take four days+ to get the part. I called BDS a few minutes ago and they refused to give me the part number to try to buy the ball joint locally because I do not want my truck down for four days right now. Can anyone give me the Moog ball joint number for a steel knuckle / spindle? Thank you very very very much.

Being that these are aftermarket, it’s hard to say if they are using stock sized ball joints - but Oreillys stocks the ball joints, I know the arms are different but the ball joints (IDK)

You are right. On top of the ball joint it says Moog “problem solver 40” and and I believe there are at least eight choices of a “”problem,
solver 40”” category. It had to be the hardest snap ring I had to remove in my life. The holes of the snap ring were completely covered because they were under the ball joint so you have to go in sideways which you do not have much room to do that and you have to spread it apart the ring and oh my it was hard. A very, very poor design from BDS.

If you google this - BDS Balljoint -there are some posts for the F-150 same issue, BDS will not release the info. I did find a post for a part number (but then again F-150) so (?) if it will be the same for the Ranger.

On the top of the ball joint it states “” problem, solver 40”” but that’s not the exact part number.

I have a good friend that has a Napa store and it was his dad’s before him. If I had that ball joint I would bet he could figure it out..

‘’I have Icon upper A arms on my ranger and it’s got the delta joint. Wonder how long there going to last and what issues there will be getting a set of them..

Icon sells the delta joint replacements on their sight. ain’t cheap but they aren’t trying to sell you new arms when you just need the new joint.
