All the lights still work in the tail light. So I am hopeful the Bliss module is still good too. How can I check the Bliss module?
Check for DTCs with Forscan or equivalent. It will have DTC codes if it is malfunctioning. Or you can set up a test with a car approaching from the right while you are in reverse. It should give you an alarm.

Keep it from getting wet or the BLISS module will be toast. You might want to remove the taillight and then remove the BLISS module to protect it until you get the replacement taillight.

From the looks of the damage it is above the BLISS module, and if your not getting any errors, your probably OK.

Corporate drone. Dilbert's world is alive & well.
Simply go on ebay. Someone, reputable no doubt, will be selling a pair of tail lights that were part of a midnight requisition a week or two ago somewhere in the US. (Damn. Hope my Ranger is ok at the airport. Also why i back in until I bump at airports. F***ing thieves.)

Good luck in your quest OP. Sorry about your luck.

I was at my dealer for something else....and was wondering what the cost of a replacement taillight was...so I could "adjust" my collision deductible, if necessary. Well, I decided to lower it, because he told me the taillight was $750.00...but I believe it came with the BLIS module, as he looked it up by VIN and my truck has it. He did not offer me an option for just the lens. That Amazon one for $300.00 looks like the way to go.

Thanks for the link. I have found several options that may work. I would prefer to keep OEM Parts as opposed to after market.
Most of those scrap yards will give you a short warranty. Check if electrical applies.

And, of course it was.

Not sure what he was quoting you. A new OEM light without the BLIS module lists for $1000, and the BLIS radar module is another $600. Maybe he's quoting used or blackmarket.

When I mow the grass I move my truck to the driveway to get the mower out of the garage. I did not bother to move it back to its normal parking spot when I finished mowing as it was late and supper was ready. This morning when the wife left for work, she backed smack into the back end of it. Uggggh!
I think I can nudge the bumper back into place, but the tail light is another issue. Has anyone found a good place to purchase the tail lights with the Bliss system?
Is it possible the Bliss module is still good and I can install it into a new light housing?

My wife would probably say it was you fault. I, on the other hand would say, that the back camera and sensors must not be working. If you would get them fixed, this wouldn't have happened. "Just sayin"

I have found everything from $700 to $1800 in salvage parts. The Ebay listing says it is new OEM, but I am leery of buying this off of ebay and it being stolen from someone else. I may just bite the bullet and get the junkyard version and know it came from a wrecked one and has the Ranger badging on it as well.

To check the BLISS, I would think that you could put the truck in reverse and have someone walk or drive up to it perpendicular and see if you get the chime.
