So Ford lost money on every one of their EV's sold so now they'll try and make money on their E-Bikes? Maybe start listening to what the consumer wants which are not expensive EV's. Hint, you should've never stopped producing cars, especially smaller economical ones and put all your eggs into one basket.

Starting at $4k for the Mustang and $4.5k for the Bronco makes it at the higher end of its competition. For that kind of money you could get a beater that has four wheels.

Four grand for an electric assist bike with top speed of only 28MPH? Then again if you go to Trek's website and search ebikes by speed, you'll start at $7k for one that goes 28MPH.

I didn't see any option for a tow package, so it would have to be an aftermarket set-up. Without a fender it would have to be an axle attachment point.
Being electric, I suppose it could support a brake controller.
I guess we'll just have to wait until some fool.....ugh, I mean buyer gets one to try !!!!

E bikes are being banned everywhere now. Apartment building bans because they burn down the whole complex. Banned for having too much speed for an unlicensed vehicle. Banned on country roads here in NY. Soon there will be licensing and insurance requirements that cost thousands a year to own one. Homeowners insurance won't cover fires from one. Sounds like another great investment by Ford. "We loose money on everyone but make up for it in quantity" should be Fords EV slogan

not even remotely close. you could double that and not even be at the top end for e-bikes.

there are fully human-powered bicycles on the market at $20k.

car manufacturers selling branded bicycles is nothing new. they've been doing it for years. an established bicycle manufacturer makes them and slaps the auto brand's logos on 'em, selling them for a markup. they're never a good value. and some of them are complete garbage as bicycles, even.
