I am curious if - since as of now, I have not received an email - they may be rolling out in groups vs mass (all owners)
But for those that are getting them - have you updated to the latest version and does Ford website show it updated?
As this is most likely coming from the Troubled previous version (22251) - (?) I believe was the number.
So, this (MAY) be just to get the system updated to a stable version - 23188, and the owners who show an older version, may be the only ones affected. ?
I am updated to 23188, and have not received an Email (YET) anyways
I previously used a USB stick with thousands of songs, nearly a full 32G card. It got corrupted a couple times, and the last time it bricked the stick. I can't reformat it. So, I went back to using an old IPOD Gen2 I had from my 2009 outback, and it's never had an issue, I assume cause it has it's own OS that handles the I/O.I have been having problems lately with my SYNC and my Scandisc USB stick with my 15,000 songs and it stopping for 15-30 seconds then restarting that song or moving to the next song. It seems like once it's warmed up it works just fine. I have it set to shuffle so maybe it's overloading the system with that many songs???
You could try pulling fuse 9 under the dash and putting it back in. This will reboot the telematics module. I had to do that to my truck. My modem (Telematics Control Unit) died about 2 weeks after I got my 2020. There is no ESN number on the radio. I took it to the dealer and was told that while it was a warranty repair, it would be 6 weeks to get a new one, the car would be in for 3 days, and no rental would be provided.
It is still broken to this day. Oh well, with all the stuff about car companies selling data, I guess I'm safe.
Thanks, I tried all of that, it's dead dead. You could try pulling fuse 9 under the dash and putting it back in. This will reboot the telematics module. I had to do that to my truck.
I got the same text from Ford set appointment with dealer. They will be updating the sink three system. Supposedly it has fixes for all the problems.I've never had to reset my sync3, but glad they are addressing it. Just checked the app and I don't see anything regarding schedule an appointment. And, an appointment for what? Will it need to be installed by the dealer?
