Well, 3 weeks without the truck at a body shop. Had a minor collision that bent the right front bumper area and the brackets and plastic pieces behind the valance.
Shop has contacted Ford numerous times and evidently the parts they need are not available from stock. They had to request a "release" from Ford. Not sure what that means but I suspect parts for production line have to be diverted.
The frustrating part (pun intended) is the truck was still driveable and Id rather drive a slightly bent Ranger than a rental Jeep Cherokee that my insurance company is not very cooperative in continuing the coverage.
Just a heads up to manage expectations if anyone finds themselves in the same situation. I don't blame the shop, it is just painful to wait.
