In a bit of a fender bender and I needed about $7,000 for the body work progressive has a preferred contractor they use helps you get in line up sooner warranties the work longer etc etc. It just so happens this is the Chevy dealer about a block from my house I didn't want to go there but it seemed like it would have been the best option closest no other place around really. Here's the issue except there for 2 weeks before they touched it cuz Progressive wanted there to give it their estimate and that's when they gave me the rental car for one month that I just returned. With no end in sight on auto body because they said the whole time the hood has been back ordered OEM now I have no wheels and they don't want to do the rest of work because they want the paint to match. What can I do to push this along I found OEM hoods online at other dealers aftermarket I even said to use I told my need a vehicle but they keep dragging her feet I can't believe that they can't find an OEM hood I know there's been shortages but I think to go into one place and it's a Chevy dealer for crying out loud. Anything I can do to bug up Ford to get one sent my way or is this just what everybody's going through and I got to deal with it cuz it looks like there's no end in sight.

My son works at an independent auto body repair shop. He says they are still having trouble getting parts. Some due to supply issues but most recently the computer crash.

I feel for you, while I was in the desert in 2003 my son pulled our Taurus into the garage ( not through the open door) and insurance company sent my wife to the local Chevy dealer for repairs. Still sore about that, your insurance company should extend the rental car until you have your vehicle back, since the delay is not your fault. Good luck.
