Running tally of VIN #, order date and build date by Ranger5G member (2019 MY)

Yeah, I thought about the same thing when mine was built. With all the automation and automated QC, I think build quality is a lot more consistent than it has been in the past.

Gotta disagree. Just took delivery on mine today and it had the very noticeable front hood overhang, but only on the passenger side. Drivers side is spot on but passenger side looks like a buck tooth kids mouth. How do they still have these issues this far into the model year build cycle? In any event, I gotta take it back in on Monday so they can “fix it”. So much for QC. So far, the rest of the truck is pretty nice. Only put about 5 miles on it, dealership to work, but we’ll do a shakedown tomorrow.

Well, to be fair, I didn't say it was perfect, I said it was more consistent. Since MANY people here have seen the overhang on the hood, that kind of bears out that it is consistent. For me, I don't sweat small things like that - I'm more concerned with engineering defects (which I haven't really heard about), or mechanical issues (which there have been a few due to bad parts - fortunately I haven't had any of those).

For a first year model, I think Ford did really well with it.

Mine was built on a Saturday and it has been trouble free thus far. I've been EXTREMELY happy with my truck. Only issue was a defective side marker lamp that was leaky - no big deal.

Yours will be one of the last 2019s built!

I also have a Saturday built ranger. 9,300 miles with absolutely NO problems.

Is it in transit? Yes and no.

United Road Service took possession of it on September 29th. As of September 30th it is sitting in limbo for a "miscellaneous transit delay" with no current ETA.

Wonder if Pioneer74 could track the status with VIN # 1FTER1FH5KLA80492. It was built on Aug.23. None of the online
tracking for Ford works from my location.
