Yeah I'm in the same boat.

Although we rent, and the company keeps jacking up our rent so I'm at the point **** giving them a freshly painted garage.

$1500 a month for a house with appliances crapping out left n right... They're not getting upgrades from me.

My garage walls are painted and it just shows the normal garage dings and dirt more, Would be less obvious on unfinished walls.

Trying to resolve back pain cause of poor seat construction...

I am still working on mine, to get the (perfect) comfort spot.
Trying various foam thicknesses.
I will note that I have found that if you only focus (cut) the width to cover the rear part of the seat bottom (spring) area it does help in comfort.
Removes (somewhat) that lower back sinking feeling in the seat.
So slowly playing with different options - drive it for a while to see if I can leave it and call it good or do some minor adjustments and try again.
So, I still at (WIP) Work in Progress status

The slightest adjustment in thickness or firmness of the padding or slightest adjustment of that padding (rearward-all the way back or slightly forward of the back of the cushion)

So, if l get the drift of your note. There is no way a manufacturer could have designed or have designed a single seat that will suit everyone's comfort wants/needs. Yet some people will continue to blame the manufacturer for what is probably more an issue relating to some physical trait the affects them personally. So you have to do what you can to correct it, unfortunately.

I personally find the Rangers seat to be quite comfortable even for long 8 hour trips as does my wife, who happens to be 9 inches shorter than me. That was one of the things that sold us on the Ranger when we test drove it. We could both find a comfortable driving position.

Agree....we find the seats to be very comfortable. Ours is a Lariat with both seats power with, for us, a lot of adjustment. We are regularly on the road with our camper, for days at a time, like Big Blue for 6-8 hours, and find no fault with the seats or with the adjustments on the steering wheel.
Guess it just matters how each of us is built and what is "comfortable" for each tush...

True, but unfortunately for me - the driver's seat is uncomfortable and find it to have a sinking feel in the (butt) part of the seat, I have tried multiple position adjustments to the OEM as well as the Seat Jackers - No Help
So, I resorted to make an attempt to add some cushion (padding) under the seat cushion itself to resolve the issue.
As you cannot go between the Cover & Cushion - Heated Seats, and the cover is secured to the cushion.
The Note pertained to the placement of the added padding, for me anyways I am sensitive enough to feel the difference if the padding is placed all the way back (under the tailbone) or slightly forward under the butt cheeks.
The width of the padding matters as if too wide, you increase the thickness in the section that has the (Seat Pan) - this raises the legs some and increases the tilt of your lower body.
The thickness and density of the padding also factors in, as it creates a sitting on a wooden bench feeling and cuts off circulation in the legs.

Any change made also requires a seat adjustment to get the Gas / Brake pedal foot placement to a comfortable position.

I LOVE the truck and have ZERO complaints except for this issue.
I WILL SUCCEED in getting it dialed in to the OMG feeling - it's just trial and error. I will not let the truck win.

Not criticizing anyone in particular on this or any other issue that someone has with their truck. It just seams that anytime someone dislikes something about their truck the first place thing they blame is Ford for being cheap or their poor engineering. I am not talking about component failures or other wear and tear issues. Those are obviously on Ford and their dealers to take care of. The things I'm talking about are the ergonomic issues like the seats or the heater controls that some really dislike. Those are things that were there when YOU looked at the truck and test drove the truck. And, YOU still bought it! So obviously they weren't a big enough issue to stop you then or the competition had more or bigger issues.

So, don't blame Ford for having to modify the truck to fit your specific requirements better. Be happy you can, and be that you may be helping out someone with similar issues

The 2019's I test drove had a better seat than my '22 does. They were the XLT trim which have the same seats. There is a difference, either it's just my truck or more deleting/quality dropping I'm not sure.

I'm not saying ford specifically here as they all have garbage seats these days, even if they're comfortable. I just want to know why my passenger seat is perfectly fine I can sit in it for hours with no problem. It's just My seat, I get instant pain in my lower back.



I'm more frustrated with the lack of consistency between the two seats than anything else. Anyway, I'll keep working at it til I find the right setup. In the mean time I'll drive straight up like an old man.

Driving straight up "like an old man" increases overall visibility, performance, and horsepower while not noticeably affecting aerodynamics.

Added an RTR exhaust tip. Tired of looking at the bare pipe...and it was on sale. I'll probably keep it on until I find an exaust I like the sound of.

Changed spark plugs at 45k and flattening out my bed rug under some bumper plates in the back ground. Thanks to @Stage3Motorsports for a great price and fast shipping also!

wow. one looks it came out of a 1970 outboard motor lol. i guess thats the cylinder where water leaks down into the plug area.

found out today the winch, mount, and recovery points make pretty good fishing rod holders. didnt catch a thing. but it was a nice day out.
