You know what is hitting the fan...the truth is coming out...

"They're 6.66666666666666666666666666666666666 times as efficient." ?

Now the stock is gonna cut by the same amount. Maybe Elon bought twitter just so he could unload his overvalued Telsa stock without signalling that it's worth about as much as Ford!

An ev isn't marketed to the masses as a take a roadtrip across the country vehicle, right now.

Heck, when we move into an rv, I am going to look into an electric vehicle to tow (even in a trailer) behind the rv so we only have to fuel 1 vehicle...

I would argue, 90% of people with multiple vehicles in their home could do away with all but 1 gas vehicle. Even now in our house, when we replace her car next I think it'll be an electric vehicle. She doesn't drive her car long distances often. And if we needed to, we could make it work by planning out our charging stops etc, or take the truck (that is if she doesn't get a rivian rt1...)
The reduced RV mileage from hauling an extra 1/4 to 1/2 ton more weight than the equivalent ICE vehicle will make up for fuel saved by the BEV.
But you should to be able to charge off the RV's main while you travel or the gen set. That will help. Won't it.

I was thinking more of, plug it in to slow charge at the rv site and be able to puts around without having to find a gas station...

Ie ease of refuel for electric vs gas...

So, there's demand for hybrids & Rangers, eh? Do we dare hope that Ford wakes up to the fact that a hybrid Ranger would be a very viable product?
I see the value in EVs if I lived in a city maybe or if I at least was married and as a second car. I live in rural northern Wisconsin and I am single. I need range and I need something that can handle cold. And I cannot be waiting 3 hours for a charge. A hybrid I could for sure go for, but all electric there is just no way it would work for me right now.

You don't sleep more than 3 hours at a time?

Damn, that must suck.

lost in the fervor to join in bitching about EVs is the reality that ford also seems to have trouble making reliable ICEs in a package people want to buy. (where are all the ford cars, again? apparently only other automakers can make a car that someone will willingly purchase.) all ford wants to make is high margin full size trucks and a few SUVs, and has trouble delivering even those on schedule and without a zillion recalls. maybe the issue with the lightning is that ford fumbled the execution and stepped on their crank at launch (just like they fumbled the explorer launch, which had nothing to do with electric drivetrains). but sure, it's the fault of EVs. this news frenzy is just clickbait to make some ad revenue off people clicking to satisfy their confirmation bias.
