When I was looking for a easier way to check my transmission fluid I looked at the B&M stick but did not like how you had to mark the stick and then I heard about Mike working on a stick that would be plug and play. That is what it is, install and move on, no marking or anything. Took me less than a hour to install and has been just what I wanted. No one can go wrong with buying this product. You can buy the cheaper one if you want but will regret it in the long run. Also Mike has been good with communicating when it ships with a tracking number and if you have any questions or concerns you can contact him and he is more that helpful because he truly stands behind his product.
I do not have any doubts that Mike stick is a superior product. All I was checking on was the other look a like, do you have to scribe like the BM product . But I was just curious as I know. Mike took a long time to figure out the correct marking on the stick.
As I said, mine is coming to my door tomorrow. But I just wanted to see what the competition was as I already have it in my mind that Mike's stick is a superior product. I was curious about the other one that was being offered on facebook

Got my MBS stick in Friday and installed it this morning. Took maybe 30mins, including grabbing the tools and planning my point of entry to get the stock dip stick out.

Mike way over built this.. I mean that in a good way. I was expecting a simple dipstick. I did not expect to be "wowed" when I opened the box and seen it.

Years ago I paid good money for a Lokar Dipstick to go on my fbody for a header install. It was a floppy braided hose that would never stay attached to its bracket. It was also a pain in the butt to install. Follow the directions, watch the video and the MBS stick will go where it's supposed to. The stick is solid and will not bend out of shape during the install. So no confusion on where it's supposed to go.

Thank you @Fitzmotor ! #70 has arrived.
You are the only one that has requested a specific serial number, #70 happen to be in the batch about when you came up for one, worked out perfectly?

Good to hear, and thank you, my goal was stock looking, stock fitting and easy to install.

Mike way over built this..
I tried make sure it was built well enough, thanks, the work went into the shape, it's odd shape is to keep it off the firewall and help with starting the fitting -10 is pretty rigid on tight bends and in the beginning I had trouble getting the fitting started on the trans, so I went to a preformed hose, it's really rigid now, like a stick, but it's easy to install.

Well, I did it.

Drilled a nice little hole in my dipstick right in the middle of the diamond full mark. Used a spring loaded center punch to keep the bit centered, and oil to keep the bit cool... and took my time.

The hole holds the ULV fluid film perfectly. When I hit that mark I know it's at the correct level.

How well does the dipstick on this seal up? Is it just an O ring holding it in or does it screw in?

It is the same fit as the Ford factory sticks from when Ford supplied them on vehicles, I reduce the ID of the top fitting just a hair, .015" to increase the seal tension, so it will be a little tighter fit than a older Ford, but I increased the chamfer at the top to allow easy installation of the stick in it's tube.

I should also mention, a screw in stick only works with a cable stick, you cannot rotate a flat dipstick in a curved round tube, the stick I use is a flat type stock stick.

I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for the video. Looks like it's easy pee. Z. I will attempt this tomorrow.
Just a little tip....
Loop a piece of twine/string thru the U clip and tie it off..... as you try to attach it...it's a bit hard to slip it over the mounting bracket in the video and has a tendency to maybe slip out of your fingers. Piece of long twine will allow you to retrieve it from the deep dark places it could slip to.
After its in place, cut the twine/string off.

You also have it and the instructions in the PM I sent earlier, please read the instructions and the additional notes.

That box looked beat up, even with all the stickers on it.

I actually for the big batch, the packet I send out will have 2 U clips in it, one and a spare!
