After having it in the box on the floor in my backseat for the last 11 months, I finally installed my trailer brake controller. It took me about 1 1/2 hrs only broke a few retainer clips but everything is back together. The hardest part was finding the loose blue and yellow wire that need to be crimped. They happened to be tapped pretty far up under the dash. Otherwise a very easy and straightforward install. I didn’t have time today to hook up my trailer and give it a test, but no warning lights so yay.

Finally got these ditch lights on. Not too sure how I feel about them. I’m not really a fan of the look or more stuff in my view. But I do always end up looking for a place to camp or wheeling at night and hopefully this will improve that.

It may take some getting used too im building up my tollerance. Im so used to a stockish view up front that when i check over my drivers side shoulder or side mirror and then look forward my first reaction is the passanger ditch light is a critter starting to cross the road. I dont know how you guys with iPads, HAM, GMRS, CB, inreach, switchpros, G19 and licorice dispensers mounted to dash do it.

Swapped out my XL bumper with an XLT bumper and cali raised fog brackets to relocate my Auxbeam lights. It was really tempting to slap my 589 mount and winch on while the bumper was off but ill need more than just the hour lunch break I had for this. I think ill prep by clocking the winch and adding leads to the winch controller before i take the bumper off again but this was a nice sneak peak of that job.

I didn‘t realize they weren’t the same Jason - what’s the difference - parking sensors? Fog lights?

the new bumper (I think an XLT is what i replaced my XL with) has cutouts and fog lights, maybe it was a sport package or fx4 trim im not quite sure. But my base model XL had no cutouts for fog lights

Washed her up and 303’ed after a couple of Cherokee NF trips…just in time for my 6 hour drive to SC low country on Friday to camp and hog hunt for 3 days. Also gotta pick up some fresh shrimp to bring home!
