All in the green, check it out. My 2019s history:
- 1st is factory fill
- 1st change is Motorcraft syn blend 5w30, FL-910S
- Next three are Motorcraft full synth 5w30, FL-910S
- This latest interval was Castrol Edge 5w30, FL-910S; it clearly does better than Motorcraft in my opinion. Also my Ford Performance tune provided K&N air filter was very dirty, cleaned it at this change, notice the solid and unconcerning UOA numbers.
- The present change is Edge EP 5w30 with upgrade to Fram Ultra XG3614, I also just installed the newish Ford Performance catch can.

My fuel dilution is always worse if I change the oil in winter months. It's always lower if I change and drain in summer months. At any rate, enjoy!

Not sure if you ever opened up a Frame oil filter, but I can promise the Frame is not an upgrade. It would be in your best interest to stick with the Factory Motocraft Filter
I suggest you do some further research in your own time. I am not referring to the orange can with cardboard end caps that you are referring to.

I found the same researching on BobistheOilGuy forum. The base orange line of Frams are garbage. Ultra line of filters are very well made.

Friday yet?

Interesting read. Thx for posting. I enjoy the Blackstone reports. Though I don't get them for my own rides.

OP could you clue us in to your use profile? Any off-roading or towing on these intervals?

Thanks for posting these, makes me feel good about running 5k-6k on Motorcraft

yeah rare towing, many small payloads, usually highway or commute. Some stop and go. I off-road once or twice a year in reality.

Yes and from what I have seen I would not run synth blend at all. And if you do definitely change at 3-5k.

I just turned 17k miles on my 21 when I bought it she had 13k it sat at a dealership most of its 2 years LOL now I can put 400+ miles a week on it and this next oil change I am going to try Amsoil and their filter, I have always used Mobile 1 and Fram Ultra, my Ford Explorer went 263k (hard miles too)
I do off road maybe once a month and tow mid size loads once a week
the Oil looks good right now BTW
also looking into a "catch can" if I win the lotto LOL

With Amsoil Signature Series and the Ea15k51 filter I’m getting 15,000km (9,000 mile) oil changes. No issues and oil is still good with oil analysis done. Getting close to doing another change. Will get it tested again and post the results.

Got my oil analysis back. Only minor concern for me was fuel and the oil viscosity.

No idea what oil was in it as I bought it used and this is what came out.

I like nerding out on these reports as well. I have been doing them with my old VWs for a while and now did a few during the first 30k of my Bronco to get a baseline. I’m running Motul there and plan to switch to that or Amsoil for the Ranger.

You can always upgrade to the Motorcraft FL-400S filter. It’s a bit taller.

I’m interested in 7500 intervals as long as the reports show positive results.

Your present oil is the Castrol EP but what Castrol edge did you use before the edge or the edge A3 B4?
