I noticed that great youtube video on the MBS dipstick install has been taken down, too bad unless their was some liabillity issue.

I think you have to be in the first release PM to be able to watch it...it'll probably be back up after the creator has a final cut...

Yes, it's a great video. Now if it would quit raining here, so I can get my camper winterized. I could get at installing mine.

Poor Big Blue is going to be living in the driveway for a while. Backing the camper in Sunday, I managed to kill garage door. Ordered a new one yesterday and it's 4 weeks delivery.

Same boat as you....raining here thru tomorrow, so dipstick delayed till Thurs. Truck is garaged, but need to move outside for extra room.
Not winterizing ours yet....still have 2 trips upcoming.

Thanks for the feedback on the install video, everyone! I've been incredibly swamped with other stuff since receiving and installing my MBS stick, so I have not had time to comment here. I basically summed up my thoughts about it in the video itself though: It's an *excellent* product that @Fitzmotor obviously put way more thought and energy into getting right than any other potential solution out there. Install is easy - if you can change your own oil, you can manage this job.

Sorry for any confusion about the different versions of the install video - the one linked above is the final, correct version.

I've got a bit of a longer drive I have to take tonight - going to re-check my level after that and see if it still reads right at the 4 (completely full) mark.

The video thing is my doing, he did the perfect video...

What I did do though...

I made the comment to quangdog "if I had a edit, I would have had you refer to my work space as a shop instead of a garage" It is a very small shop, less than half of my garage, but a shop never the less, it also ties in the biz name.

What did he do? he redid it with the shop reference vs the garage reference, this guy is great, I am grateful for the work he put into the video, for anybody who has done videos knows, they are time consuming, it took him a lot longer to do the video than it did to install the dipstick

As a result of the time he took, most likely everyone will be be able to install their dipstick in less time?

Thanks, Fitz! We are ALL grateful to you for the work you've put in to engineer a perfect solution for this issue. I was happy to rework things a bit in my install video, plus it gave me a good excuse to add in some blooper/outtakes at the end.

I'm glad both of you did the work I could never do. This weekend it will move from on top of my freezer and onto the truck. That video helped me understand what I have to do to get it in the truck and love the warnings/watch our for info. That stuff might be in the instructions... but seeing it helped for sure vs when I skimmed draft 1 of the written how-to

Will watch it again before I start fighting the fill cap.

I doubt Ford really checked it when they said they did.
