Drove down to Southern Indiana to deer camp and one of my buddies and I cleared trails and made some shooting lanes...but the 1st thing.i had to do within 5 minutes was pull his 4x4 Silverado out of a hole LOL, in defense of him, it had washed out in spring rains along a creek crossing and it was in high weeds, he didn't expect it so he didn't look first. I didn't have the heart to tell him that's the 3rd chevy of some sort I've pulled out. I drove up.the logging trail 50 yards or so at a time , cleared downed limbs and pruned trees and those evil briar patches then moved another 50 to 100 yds and did some more. Got alot accomplished in 4 hours. Also turned my stand in a better direction.

And my Ranger wasn't sitting on flat ground, that hill goes up all the way. My pacemaker was happy, I didn't have to climb it. But I still managed to get 1.81 miles of walking I

Not from today. But the truck served as a great base for the grill for burgers at Northstar in Tahoe last weekend. It was a great day of mountain biking and the burgers were icing on the cake

I freaking love it TJ, but the S-Works laying on the ground is giving me shortness of breath ?

Septic? I hope not and I don't even have to smell or touch it.

Yep , all good now though , and i added an "inspection portal " so i can see whats going on in there (but really its so i can dump poop eating bacteria directly into the leach bed and try and squeeze a few more years out of it )

Good Job!
Well that explains why your grass is so green. You should see my back yard, we are currently in another El Nino this spring and the bush fires have started already. I haven't mowed our acreage literally for months, and it still looks quite tidy - the only green spots I have are where my sewage treatment plant sprinkler currently is. Summer is going to be the Rural fire service's season from hell.
Oh well that's Australia for you, as Dorothea McKellar's poem goes "I love a sunburnt country/A land of sweeping plains,/Of ragged mountain ranges,/Of droughts and flooding rains."

Went and replaced the battery in my daughters Elantra which require a trip to Costco. I topped off the gas while I was there of couse.
She complained her car only clicked when trying to start it Tuesday morning. Cried for 5 minutes and tried again and it started. She hadn't driven it for a few days so I told her to see what happens today and we'll go from there. Didn't start again today so she waited, this time without tears, tried again and it started. I checked the voltage when I got there tonight and it was 10.5v. And the thing started! She got about 5 yrs 80k+ miles out the factory battery so I think she was due.
Impressed considering I didn't get 3 yrs or 25k out of the battery in the Ranger and it gives all kinds of warnings at 12v.
My experience in recent years is that batteries are on borrowed time after three years. Which means I'm due.

Drove into the local fly fishing shop to pick up a few flies and a leader. Probably hit a local stream or two now that the best weather of the year is here for a month or more. Probably hit some spots in Cherokee National Forest this weekend.

We had one when I was growing up. Quite useful for reducing paper-type stuff quickly.

That’s the main reason I got it. Shredding is good, but burning is better (in my opinion). :)
